- PPPaul2 days ago4.0IHG-property on the south side of Carpinteria, away from the main drag and associated traffic (both pedestrian and vehicular). IHG member status recognized and appropriate perks/upgrades offered based on availability. Pretty busy in the summer when Carpinteria is a major tourist destination for both evacuees from Los Angeles as well as folks from farther afield. Typical Holiday Inn rooms - comfortable with an economy of space and niceties. Blackout curtains, coffee/tea service in the room, armoire for hanging clothes, TV with local and some movie stations. Beds are comfortable with both firm and soft pillow options. Bathrooms are clean with an economical use of space that doesn't feel too cramped. Good water pressure and hot water. Breakfasts are complimentary and feature common HI favorites like made to order pancakes, biscuits in gravy, juices, coffee, tea, cold cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc.
