This is a hotel like none other. Legos to build with in the lobby and in the rooms. Lego characters periodically wander through the hotel. Decorations made of Lego are everywhere, even in the rooms! The rooms and hallways are themed and even the elevators have themes along with party music as you ride in them. The hallways are very long, so if you get a room at the far end of the hotel you will get plenty of exercise going to and from your room. The food in the restaurants in the hotel are very good and you can get gluten free options of many dishes on request. The staff is friendly and have many activities for families to have a great stay. A great place to stay as part of a Lego immersive experience.

Registration wasn't as easy as I was hoping it would be but once we were checked in, it was smooth sailing.
The one thing that I hated was the height restriction for the pool. My daughter is not tall enough for their standards (she's 6 years old) and she was made to wear a life jacket the whole time. They had 2 life guards and the pool is not deep. My daughter has been fully swim trained since 4 years old. With having 2 life guards on staff, there should be no requirement if the parent/ guardian trusts their child's abilities. That made the pool not fun at all and we didn't use it after that. LL definitely needs to relax their requirements. It sucks that my daughter is punished for being short

Started in the Dragon Room. The decor is awesome, the bed is okay and comes with a comforter. I've stayed in many places and this one tops the list. It is very well thought out for both kids and adults.
Nots: Photos taken in low light to show how cool it is.
Things to watch out for...
1. When you take your card out of the slot at the door, it kills the lights and the power in the night stand. This will affect charging devices.
2. The heat takes about an hour to respond to changes and even longer to get to the commanded temperature. By design per the front desk.
3. Higher room numbers are quieter.

This was a dream stay for our 11 year old son. He walked in and was drawn to the large pits of Lego to play with. Even the pirate play area full of Lego bits to build with was exciting. We got checked in and headed to our room. On the way he noticed a whoopie cushion Lego guy on the wall and that was all it took to put him in the extremely excited mode. Then we got into the elevator and the disco kicked and that was just another great moment. We finally got to our room and the pure emotion of walking in the room and discovering all that the room had to offer was almost overwhelming. It came with a box of Lego to play with, a treasure chest that you had to solve the puzzle to be able to open, Lego creations all around the room. It was really everything he imagined it would be. The kid beds are divided off from the grown ups bed, and even had separate TV's. We only spend one night but it was a great stay.
On the property are two hotels. They both at this time shared a pool. We were not told this and had to ask where everyone was going with swim suits. The shared pool is nice, with a shallow end and a deeper end. It also has a hot tub as well. They do have a movie playing outside at night as well as a playground near the pool as well.
Overall our son has been dreaming of staying at this hotel for several years and it was everything he dreamed it would be.

This was a 2nd trip to Legoland in less than 6 months. The last time we stayed at the Castle Hotel and this time we stayed at the Legoland Hotel. The rooms are great with the bunk and trundle setup. Between the two hotels we liked the Castle Hotel rooms because there's a curtains for the kids room.
We again celebrated one of my kids birthdays at Legoland. The mistake was getting the birthday package. DO NOT BUY THE BIRTHDAY PACKAGE. A separate team outside of housekeeping delivers the birthday package. The delivery time isn't guaranteed but that's listed on the website. What isn't clear on the website and in talking to employees is the experience.
Our room wasn't ready by 4pm. Granted the Legoland hotel confirmation suggests there's: "no need to check in right at 4:00 PM. Conquer the wait and maximize your fun in the Park by pre-checking in." In other words, don't check-in at 4pm because your room might not be ready.
Once the room was ready I checked it only to find out the birthday package wasn't delivered. I spoke to someone in housekeeping and was told that a different team handled the delivery. The Legoland site explains the delivery is between 4-7pm. So if you expect to bring the birthday child to the room to see the banner on the door and the birthday blanket on the bed, double-check in advance.
The front-desk, housekeeping, and birthday teams do not work together on the birthday experience. A child wants to see the banner on the door when walking up to the room. Instead of being handed a birthday bag with the blanket and gifts.
As for the gifts, they're EXACTLY THE SAME as the last time I celebrated my other child's birthday at the Castle Hotel. You can't change or replace any of the gifts (I asked the front desk and gift shop). The birthday package is only special the first time. It's not going to be unique or customized based on age, interests, etc.
There are some great things about the hotel. My kids love trading mini figures and getting pop badges. The birthday experience leaves so much to be desired though.
