This hotel leaves much to be desired. Hotel is extremely noisy as it's right next to the freeway and the windows are thin. I stayed on the 2nd floor and could hear every single footstep from the people above me.
The mattresses are old and uncomfortable. The bed linens were in desperate need of being replaced and the wire dresser drawers are held together with zip ties. The refrigerator didn't work and neither did the plugs in the nightstand. They were so lose that anything plugged into them fell right out.
Returning to the hotel after being gone all day, I requested a bottle of water from the front desk, only to be told that I could purchase one. I have stayed at Hilton properties all over the US and this is the first time being denied a bottle of water despite having gold status.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. There are lots of properties in the area.

Visiting the LA area for 5 days and 4 nights from Texas over the New Year. We have stayed at many Hampton Inn and Suites over the years and across 21 states. This by far is the absolute best Hampton Inn and Suites we have ever stayed at. Is was emaculant, service was phenomenal, and the staff was amazing. Our room was cleaned everyday and everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to valet were so friendly, kind, helpful, and professional. Kudos to all of you for making our stay memorable.

Beware of this Property! Read this scam.
On Oct 13, 25, I booked a King Studio suite w wet bar for the Thanksgiving holiday, 3 nights. 4 days before our arrival I get an email saying my stay just got upgraded. Sounds fantastic!…
The upgrade is actually a down grade to a lesser room.
I chat with Hilton honors, they confirm the change but cannot fix, suggesting I call. The hotel directly, I do.
The Hampton Inn and Suites says they don’t do upgrades and I should call Hilton Honors directly, I do.
Speaking with a Diamond honors rep who contacts the hotel directly and is told to speak to German, the Manager who happens to not be in at that time.
Bottom line is they never offered at explanation. This location was going to take our Suite money and down grade us acting like they were doing us a favor.
So I cancelled and booked at the Hilton Garden Inn in Burbank who treated us perfectly!

To the Management of Hampton Inn/Hilton,
I am writing to commend the exceptional service my family and I received during our stay at the Hampton Inn in Burbank, California, from November 22nd to November 29th, 2025.
The entire team—from the front desk and kitchen staff to room service and valet—demonstrated a level of care, integrity, and commitment to their jobs that is truly rare.
We noticed this extraordinary service from the moment we arrived:
Front Desk & Valet: Staff members were welcoming, quickly learned our names, and offered helpful suggestions, such as alternative parking options (though we ultimately used the efficient valet service every night) and local dining recommendations. One evening, a valet quickly recovered my wife's dropped credit card and had the front desk call us within minutes of entering our room. A young woman often seen at the front desk was also an active valet, always engaging us about our day and sharing her aspirations for professional growth within the company.
Kitchen Staff: They maintained a consistent, well-stocked, and immaculate breakfast service. They spoke to us as if we were acquaintances.
Housekeeping: The youngest cleaning lady on the third floor went beyond simply making the beds. She took the time to organize items in our bathroom in a helpful manner we maintained throughout our trip and even paired and sorted our shoes along the wall—small, thoughtful acts that genuinely enhance a guest's stay.
Overall Commitment: I witnessed numerous examples of staff going above and beyond. One middle-aged employee seemed to do a bit of everything—vacuuming, cooking on Thanksgiving Day so colleagues could be with their families, and even assisting us with a room change halfway through our stay. When I remarked on his varied duties, he simply responded that he "loves caring for people." I also observed a young man at the front desk handling a challenging situation with a walk-in guest who was behaving erratically regarding a package shipment. The employee managed the situation with tact, professionalism, and appropriate caution.
Little Things: Each morning, we enjoyed fresh coffee in a spotless space, while freshly baked cookies from 6 pm to 8 pm, game day snacks, and holiday decorations combined to create a welcoming, cozy atmosphere that made us feel at home.
In all our years of recreational travel, this group of employees truly stood out. Their actions were not "major things," but consistent displays of genuine effort to help the guests. I am so thoroughly impressed that I felt compelled to share this experience. I've never written a letter like this in the 20 years we've been traveling.
I do not know whether this is a result of specific Hampton Inn/Hilton training or simply a team that is outstanding and self-motivated, but their exceptional service deserves recognition.
