What a debacle. When we called direct for a room, they said 250+for a room. We booked online (priceline) and got the room for 165 after all expenses. We ordered and paid for a King, but got two queens. Whatever, we took the loss and got Room 204. We got in to the room, and I needed a shower. While showering, the water wouldn't drain. Finished the shower with dirty feet. Made the complaint to the desk, and they did give us a new room, but Ew.... I wouldn't recommend this place to my elderly parents.

We stayed one night here on the way to Quartzite Arizona. This hotel has been open for about 4 years per the front desk. The rooms were very modern and quite clean. I would definitely stay here again. We booked through “Super “ app online as the double queen room was $129.00 total compared to the hotel rate of $172.00 I will share pictures of the hotel and room. Pardon the unmade bed as were we leaving when I took them.

I’m driving to Arizona because we’re building something new, the PHX Collectors Show, a company rooted in Pokémon, sports cards, and the culture of collecting. What I didn’t expect, on the night of January 30th, was to be reminded of something far bigger than business. I decided to stop in Blythe, California, a place most people pass through without a second thought. Never did I imagine I’d walk into a true gem, a spotless, beautifully run Holiday Inn Express, sitting quietly in the middle of the desert. I felt genuinely lucky to find a place like this where care and pride still matter. The hotel was sold out. The lobby was busy. Tensions were high. People were tired, impatient, and understandably grumpy. And then there was Kristine at the front desk. She was multitasking at a level most people would fold under. Phones ringing. Guests waiting. Questions flying. Yet she never rushed a single person emotionally. She made eye contact with everyone. She spoke calmly. She treated each guest not like a problem to solve, but like someone who mattered. In a room full of frustration, she brought gratitude. In a sold-out hotel, she made people feel like platinum guests. Anyone passing through that night was lucky to be helped by her. That is not luck by accident. That is character meeting preparation. When I got to my room, it was spotless. The kind of clean that lets your body exhale. The bed was a solid 10 out of 10, and I slept the kind of sleep you do not realize you have been missing until you wake up restored. I felt lucky to rest in a place that clearly values the details. To housekeeping, thank you. Quiet excellence is still excellence. At 4:30 a.m., I woke up clear-headed and focused. I needed to print materials for my business. Before 5:00 a.m., I walked into the lobby and met Kiabeth. She was in the middle of cleaning. She stopped immediately, looked up, smiled, and made eye contact. “Good morning. How can I help you?” Confidence. Presence. Respect. At that hour, that level of professionalism feels rare, and I felt lucky to experience it. There was no hesitation and no inconvenience in her tone. Just genuine care. The kind of professionalism you cannot easily teach, but you absolutely recognize when you see it. Then Bonnie stepped in. Whether she was just starting her shift or already deep into it did not matter. She was fully present. Patient. Clear. Sharp. She walked me through the computer, the printer, the steps, and the timing. She knew exactly what to do and how to explain it. A true wizard with both technology and people. Because of her, I printed everything I needed. Because of all three of these women, I felt supported, respected, and valued. That made me feel incredibly lucky, especially in a world where that experience has become rare. In 2026, real customer service feels harder to find. Not because people do not care, but because leadership does not always protect or reward what good service actually looks like. This place clearly does. There is a manager, or a leadership culture, here that understands something fundamental. You do not just hire résumés. You hire character. You do not rely on luck. You build systems that allow good people to succeed. As someone building a company from the ground up, I want to understand how you do it. If I can grow the PHX Collectors Show using the same standards that brought these people together, then I know I will be building something meaningful, not just profitable. I just finished breakfast, beautifully prepared by Bonnie, and it was the perfect close to an already memorable stay. I will be sharing photos because when something is done right, people should know. Thank you for creating a true gem in the middle of the desert. I feel lucky to have found it. Thank you for reminding me what good humans look like in action. Yes, I will be back.

This is a great hotel. Very clean room and the hotel is in excellent condition. I was greeted by a friendly young lady the late evening as I checked in. Great experience as I was very tired. The breakfast we were served was amazing. Lots and lots of variety of food. Nice and hot, and cooked well. The only complaint I have is when we went to check out, the young lady sitting in the front (different person) was not so friendly, she seemed bothered by my handing her my key card rather than just placing it inside the key box. I personally don’t like placing my card inside boxes that the public has access to and can possibly go back into my room and steal from. So I like to hand my cards to an actual person when I check out. This appeared to bother this young lady as if I was putting her out. But all in all, we had an excellent experience at this location.

Both of the rooms that were first assigned to us smelled really bad for some reason. One even had a broken air conditioner. However, it was quickly resolved after talking to the front desk. Have absolutely no complaints about the new rooms. The only problem was that the cleaning staff ignored the do not disturb sign on the door… I assume they didn’t know it’s occupied since it’s newly assigned to us…? Maybe? Overall it’s an okay experience.
