Stayed here for one night on April 3, 2026, just me passing through, and honestly this place sits in that weird space where a lot of things are done right, but a few details stick with you longer than they should.
First impression walking in? The room feels big. Not just “hotel big,” but like they had extra square footage and didn’t quite know what to do with it. There’s this open space right when you enter that feels unfinished, and the small two-seat wooden table is actually on the opposite side of the bed from that space. It almost feels like the layout got flipped. Instead of centering the TV on the king bed, it probably would have made more sense to shift it off to the side and put a couch or chair in that empty area. Not bad, just feels like a missed opportunity.
That said, the room itself is clean and leans more toward the updated side. No carpet, which I’m always a fan of, faux wood flooring in the main area and tile in the bathroom. It just feels cleaner, even if it’s probably the same effort behind the scenes. A small rug or two wouldn’t hurt though, it does feel a bit bare.
You’ve got a wall-mounted flat screen with Samsung TV built in, which was actually a nice surprise. Regular channels plus streaming options, so if you’re winding down after a long day, you’re covered. Microwave is there, fridge is… technically there. It’s tiny. Like, don’t plan on storing much more than drinks and maybe leftovers.
One thing that stood out was the AC placement. Usually it’s under the main window near the bed, but in this room it was over by the sink area, closer to the bathroom. So it’s farther away from where you’re actually sleeping. It worked perfectly, no issues keeping the room cool at all. Just a bit of a personal preference thing. I tend to like the air blowing across me when I sleep, so having it that far off felt a little off. Not a flaw, just something to note.
Now, the bathroom situation.
It’s split, sink outside, toilet and shower in a separate back room. Pretty standard. But the ceiling in that back section drops noticeably lower, and it gives off a slightly boxed-in, almost cramped feeling. Not terrible, just noticeable.
The real issue though is the toilet.
Round bowl. Tight space. Way too close to the wall.
Sitting down feels awkward, and yeah, positioning becomes a whole thing. You kind of have to angle yourself like you’re solving a puzzle. It’s one of those design choices that makes you wonder what happened during renovation, because the rest of the room feels updated, but that part definitely didn’t get the same attention.
There was also a rusty gouge in the tub. Not a dealbreaker, but it does chip away (no pun intended) at that otherwise clean, newer feel.
Breakfast in the morning is what you’d expect:
Sausage patties
Waffle makers (always a win)
Oatmeal, bagels, muffins, bread
Cereal options
Coffee, juice, fruit
Solid, standard lineup.
But the eggs… yeah, we need to talk about the eggs.
They’re that classic hotel “egg product” situation. Wet, spongey, vaguely egg-shaped but not quite convincing, more like a pile of soft chunks. If you’ve had them before, you already know. If you haven’t, honestly keep it that way. That texture alone is enough to ruin your morning. If you like these kind of eggs, you’re probably a serial killer or something, because trust me something is not right there. Just grab a waffle and move on with your life.
Biggest pros:
Clean, updated feel
No carpet (huge plus)
Spacious room
Streaming-enabled TV
Biggest cons:
Awkward bathroom layout and tight toilet space
Tiny fridge
Breakfast eggs
Here’s the thing, even with the quirks, this place is still a solid stay. Clean, comfortable, and better than a lot of options you’ll run into. Prices are high, honestly borderline outrageous, but that’s pretty much everywhere right now.
I’d stay again. Just skipping the eggs next time.
4 stars.
