  Make sure you don't book breakfast with your room, it's useless and worth no value. Maintenance at it's lowest level. Shower water couldn't be turned off as shown in pictures. If you have any preference for your booking make sure to call and confirm your preference was noted, they don't really pay attention to your comfort. I would definitely stay at Chateau Big Bear, receptionist is more attentive, breakfast is endless, location is perfect and rooms are better maintained.

  Very rude front desk agent. Dirty room. we found a big black hair on our bed dirty sheets and dirty floors. Called the front desk she did not do anything. Spoke with the assistant GM the next day and she did not do anything. Very disappointed. This hotel is very old very outdated and very dirty. And on top of that very careless staff.

  DO NOT STAY HERE! I’ve stayed here twice a few years ago and it was good, but I have no idea what happened to this place. It has completely fallen apart. Do not be fooled by the IHG name, this is 1 star motel quality at a $350/night price tag. The Breach: I found a hole drilled through my door, allowing anyone in the hallway can see into my room. The hotel’s "fix"? They sent someone to put a sticker over it. A sticker is not a repair. The Management: Debora and Manager Mahaila are shockingly rude. I was dismissed checking-in at 3:10 with a flat "no" without apology. Mahalia admitted an "upgraded" room was ready but demanded I pay extra to move into it essentially charging me a fee to escape a room with a hole in the door. No apology, no flexibility, and zero hospitality. The Only Positive: Anthony at the front desk. He was professional, kind, and the only person here who understands basic service. Verdict: Avoid this place. Look at the manager’s defensive and rude responses to other guests’ reviews. it tells you everything you need to know about how they run this business UPDATE: I am shocked by the hotel's response. Management has characterized my request to check in at 3:10, ten minutes after their official 3pm check-in time as an "unreasonable request." Expecting a room to be ready at the advertised time is a basic contractual standard, not a special favor. The response regarding the door is patronizing and ignores a major safety issue. I am well aware of what a "peep hole" is! This was a broken fixture with a missing lens, creating a literal hole that allowed anyone in the hallway to see directly into my private room. To frame a significant privacy and voyeurism risk as a "safety feature" is gaslighting at its finest. Instead of addressing a legitimate maintenance and security failure, management chose to be condescending and dismissive. Potential guests should be aware: if you have a safety concern here, you will be insulted rather than helped.
