Specifically called and asked for a room ok for dogs. Confirmed size under 80lb, extra $25 for the room. Seemed all good. Once we arrived and checked in, we got a call from the front desk at 10pm accusing us of sneaking the dog in and that we would have to pay $50. When I explained that I called and informed the reservation agent, their excuse was that it was a third party agent. The number is listed on your own website. If you outsource your booking agents, and they don’t do a good job that’s not the customers fault. We communicated appropriately, but the blame was squarely placed on us. I’m sure in the hotel industry you see many unruly people sneaking extra people or pets in, but this was not the case with us. This left a bad impression. Won’t stay here again.

Horrible experience. 1st the front desk attendant was on the phone snd didn't acknowledge me for a very long time. 2nd, the hotel refused to honor my booking for a pet friendly room clai.ing that my booking was through a third party so they don't have to honor this. I had to leave and find a different place. The staff was very rude, condescending and seemed to not understand what it means to work in hospitality. I will report this as fraud to my credit card and go from there because I was at the hotel and they would not let me cancel.

Just finished driving for 8 hrs, family and I were planning an over night stay in williams lake to visit family, booked into the best western I hope the location was more crime free, got checked into the pet room and it was absolutely disgusting, spiders and webs all over the place, horribley outdated dirty foul smelling carpet, the room looks like it hasn't seen a cleaner in 10 years. Ended cutting our trip short with family and staying at the prestige in quesnel

We've been staying at this hotel multiple times a year for the past seven years, and this continues to be a frustrating issue. Every stay, I book 1–2 months in advance and leave a specific room request because there's one room layout that works best for our family. It seems like only about 70% of the time those comments are actually read. The other 30% of the time, they're completely overlooked. On our most recent stay, when I asked the front desk about it, the agent had no explanation nor did she seem to care. From a hotel customer service perspective, generally check in notes are reviewed before assigning rooms. If a requested room isn't available, that's understandable—but at least acknowledge the request or explain why it couldn't be accommodated. Instead, it often feels like the comments are never read at all. Another concern is that both room types are charged the same rate, despite one being significantly smaller than the other. Lastly, we were placed in a room that sleeps up to six people, yet it was stocked with only two bath towels. When we asked for additional towels, we were given small pool towels instead of regular bath towels. We've been loyal guests for many years because we generally enjoy staying here, but experiences like this are disappointing. At $415 for one night, I expect much better attention to detail. Best Western may not be a luxury hotel, but it's certainly not charging budget prices. Reading reservation notes, assigning the correct room, and providing enough bath towels shouldn't be too much to ask.
