  Great location just off hwy, Wanted to give special thanks to jaspreet lady, she help me track down my lost gold necklace in the swimming pool which someone took. She went above and beyond and I have it back now.

  This hotel doea not have sufficient parking. It shares a parking lot with another hotel and its packed. The street parking is also full. Will never book in this hotel again.

  My family and I, along with two other family friends, stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Vernon for three nights. The price was comparable to other hotels in the area, and we chose this hotel because it offered complimentary breakfast. Before booking, we noticed on the website that the hotel was under renovation. We even called the hotel to ask about it, and we were assured that the construction would not affect guests. We were told they had been renovating for quite some time and had not received any complaints. Our room on the third floor had already been renovated, and it was clean, modern, and comfortable. We also appreciated the housekeeping staff, who did an excellent job keeping our room clean and pleasant throughout our stay. There was no construction noise on our floor. Unfortunately, everything else was a huge disappointment. The front desk staff were unfriendly and rude. The dining area was under construction, with dust everywhere, making breakfast an unpleasant experience. There was no usable lobby, so we had nowhere to sit and enjoy coffee with our friends. The hotel had three ice machines, but only one was working, and it was frequently out of ice. It was also leaking, with towels spread all over the floor in front of it. The complimentary coffee and tea station rarely had hot water available. To make matters worse, the hallways were being painted while guests were staying at the hotel. We had to walk carefully to avoid paint dripping onto our clothes or ourselves. The rate we paid was what you would expect for a normal 3- to 4-star hotel, but the overall experience felt more like a 1-star property. If the hotel is undergoing such extensive renovations, guests should either be offered significantly discounted rates or the hotel should temporarily close until the work is complete. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it in its current condition.

  Horrible night time staff. My husband and I drove from 10am till 1am travelling and sightseeing the mountains with a booked reservation for this hotel. We stayed it would be a late arrival. Upon arrival at 2am the front desk staff immediately welcomed me with sheer sass and an unwelcoming tone, assuming I was a walk-in. We were not, we were the last arrival for them staff working: easy peasy! You would assume. The clerk refused to understand that I had limited funds on my credit card available for the room and tax, and a huge language barrier took place when explaining our situation from staying in another hotel the night prior. She said that “you have not money” as my visa debit was declined - I offered to transfer money to my credit card to pay for the total deposit and room and taxes and the clerk continued to say my card was declined, I showed her my statement and it was not, $100 still remains on hold from this hotel and they claim it’s not being held yet I can’t access my funds. The hotel declined to check us in and police were called as the incident escalated between the horrible front desk staff telling my husband and I we were essentially poor, we even explained the situation to the cop and the clerk again. At this point she was not offering any help, we were sleep deprived and turned away from the hotel - in a sold out city. We found a room late down the road in Kelowna with no issues checking in. I will never return to HOLIDAY Inn and this employee should be terminated for such horrible and judgmental customer service. Were were traveling back from Edmonton following a medical emergency surgery for our daughter. Shame shame shame on you holiday inn!
