  This is my second time that I have stayed at the Pacific Inn, Vernon. All in all, I complain very little. It was an enjoyable 1 night stay. My only scrutiny would be that it was pricier than our last occasion and more than I anticipated based on rates posted on the Internet, but I like booking direct and pickings were slim that weekend. We were told that that they were booked up except the one available room that we took. They weren’t lying, as I looked around,. The hotel was, in fact, still better priced than other hotels nearby and upon arrival the lot was full. Upon check-in, we arrived at 3 pm and check-in was at 4 pm. The Concierge attempted to check us in earlier however due to being so busy, she advised against it. She didn’t want to rush the cleaners as they were working on our room at that moment. I appreciated her candidness. The cleanliness was great all in all (exception: noted below). Once again, the pluses and minuses. The pluses: * Good location close to many amenities like food options within walking distance, i.e. Royal Garden, Match Eatery (@ Casino), Wings Restaurant. March and Royal Garden were good. * Off Highway 97 (you can see it when you’re on the highway). * Pet friendly ($20 charge). * Bathroom toiletries seemed of good quality (light coconut scent). * 20% off breakfast at on site Ricky‘s. * Bed (comfortably firm), soft cool bedding and pillows were comfortable (I wish I could buy plush pillows for home - Not too firm). * Although pricier than I had hoped or expected, the final charge ended up being cheaper than I was quoted. That never happens, so thanks! * Very quiet even though a full house. * Pool option next door.(pool access at sister hotel across the way — they share the same parking lot). The negatives: * Pricier than posted prices on third party sites * Shower curtain needed cleaning or replacement * No on site pool.

  We stayed at Best Western Vernon for several days, and unfortunately, our experience was mixed. Our first room (Room 205) had a toilet that did not flush properly. The sink beside the microwave and fridge also drained very slowly, so water would accumulate for quite a while. I reported these issues to the front desk, and they offered to move us to a king room with a pull-out sofa bed at a 20% discount. We moved to the new room and stayed there for two days. However, when I received the statement, I noticed that the discount had not been applied. I had to bring it up with the front desk before they corrected it, but they only applied the discount to the second day. Considering that the room issues were already reported on our first day and the room change was offered because of those issues, I believe the discount should have applied to the first day as well. The room change was also an inconvenience for our family because our original room had two queen beds, while the new room required my kids to sleep on a pull-out sofa bed. There were also some housekeeping concerns. One of the towels in the bathroom had hairs on it, which was unpleasant. When I asked for bedding and a pillow for the sofa bed, one of the cleaners seemed upset or annoyed while assisting me. I do want to mention that the Filipina front desk staff member was very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, our interactions with some of the other front desk staff were not as pleasant or helpful. Overall, I think the hotel could improve its room maintenance, housekeeping, and customer service. I also feel the discount should have been applied correctly from the first day without me having to point it out.

  The hotel was classy. The room was nice and tidy. Felt like we had such a great night sleep in a comfy bed. Would for sure stay again.

  Our family was staying at the Best Western Pacific Inn while playing hockey in Vernon. The room was decent for the price but unfortunately when my children went to go to sleep we discovered what appeared to be a crack pipe and cooker in the couch under the cushions. This drug paraphernalia was very scary for us to discover and made us feel very unsafe staying in the hotel. As it was 10pm and our children needed to go to sleep I spoke with the hotel staff who informed me that the hotel was full and we could not be relocated to another room. I checked over our beds and we tried sleeping. It was a very restless night and my children from that day forward have a fear that the hotel rooms that we stay at are not safe. We travel lots for hockey and this is experience is very upsetting to us.
