  Not sure why ratings are so high but the only good thing about the place was the breakfast and the friendly man serving the fresh eggs (hence the 1 star.) There was no hot water; The receptionist didn't bother to alert us while we were checking in. No sign up, nothing. Multiple calls down to the desk were ignored, several times over, and we ended up having to walk down to speak with someone. Hotel room (specifically the washroom) was not clean, and the make up wipes were dry (indicating they haven't been switched out for some time.) Room smelt awful, and the washroom in there smelt even worse. We would've found another hotel had it not been so late. Have had better luck and service at a cheap motel. Receptionist was horrified we were going to give a bad review only and tried to tell us not to.

  Had a great stay at the Best Western in Prince George, BC. The hotel was nice clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good with plenty of options. The staff were friendly and the whole experience was excellent. I would definitely stay here again!

  The room was ok. The noise overwhelming - the AC was like a jet engine and the neighbors were loud. And it seemed that there were at least 5 people in the room. The breakfast was ok. The BIGGEST problem is the parking. Or lack of it. There a few spaces in front of the hotel. Some under it, but you need a small vehicle - if you have a truck or larger, there's a good chance you'll get stuck. More parking across the street, but the area is sketchy with groups of people smoking whatever.

  We had an amazing night at the BW Downtown. Gee, the manager, helped address our safety concerns for our car that was full of all our camping and recreation gear. He was so nice and helpful and genuine. This is downtown Prince George, a city known for its crime level. The BW hired around the clock security to look after guests belongings. They are doing all they can with the location they are in. Parking is limited so you might have to park in a farther lot where security is making the rounds. They have a security system amongst all hotels in the area we were told, and only 3 brakes in happened in the last 5 months, in cars not parked in any of their lots. The room was clean, recently updated and the bed very very comfy. There’s a generous typical hotel continental breakfast. It was nice to be step away from the farmers market and a nice coffee shop in the morning.

  I don't remember the lady's name (south asian lady) but my gosh, she went above and beyond. We booked in for the Tuesday (July 28) and needed a place to stay Thurs on the way home from up north but they were sold out... she wiggled things around so we'd have the rooms we wanted (double queens) side by side and even took interest in the rocks my daughter collected and recommended where to buy fuel along the way. We really felt like we had someone in our corner despite being nearly 1000km from home, and our family really appreciated it. Breakfast was great too... the guy that stocks that area even added whip cream for the waffles and each day's breakfast had different hot items to enjoy. The rooms were very clean and beds comfy, what more can you ask for?
