The view is definitely one of the highlights, and we appreciated that non-motorized water equipment was included. Unfortunately, when we wanted to use the pool, it was temporarily closed for a few hours while the chemicals were being treated. With the rain outside, we weren’t able to make use of it during the time we had available, which was disappointing. Even though the space has been renovated, it still feels fairly run down, with some of the work looking a little rough and unfinished. The AC was also quite noisy, with a constant running noise that made it difficult to sleep. We ended up turning it off at night because it was too loud, but the room warms up fairly quickly without it, which made for an uncomfortable night. The staff were kind, friendly, and happy to help, which definitely made the experience more pleasant. It’s also quite expensive to stay here, although unfortunately, hotel prices in the area were generally high and this was the best price we could find. That said, based on the condition and overall experience, I personally feel the property should be closer to a quarter of what we paid. Overall, there are some nice features here, especially the view, friendly staff, and included water equipment. However, the condition of the property and noisy AC took away from the experience, and at the price we paid, I wouldn’t consider it particularly good value.

Update: They ended up upgrading our room and reducing our charges when we checked out. This saved the day in the end, which we are thankful for. But would have still booked elsewhere to avoid all the stress and hassle. Would recommend booking online instead of over the phone if you do stay here. - Called to make a booking and after confirming the total price, they charged us much more. After inquiring why this happened, they tried to 'fix' it but ended up trying to charge us more by adding an additional person. After bringing this to their attention (and being on the phone for over an hour), they said they now cannot give us the original price from the beginning of the phone call because it had just passed 4pm and all the rates have gone up since it was now considered a same day booking. Would not let us cancel so we had to go through with this much higher than expected booking. Never had a more frustrating hospitality experience in my life. Save yourself and go to the hotel next door.

My family and I booked a room online for our kids’ vacation excited to be overlooking the lake with an indoor pool and free breakfast, which it said online. The entire fourth floor smelt like cigarettes and marijuana in the hallways it’s disgusting. Joseph at the front desk’s service skills are completely below par. First when we walked out of the elevator and my nephew asked where the breakfast was he said “do you even stay here?” which is completely disgusting to say to paying customers who you watched exit the elevator. Then he said we needed vouchers that were never mentioned in booking, then he changed it to it’s not available, then it was just a different package we booked (but there were no different package options online, just said free breakfast with pool and room), then he said kids eat free with a paying adult. He has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about or what he’s doing. He was smirking and laughing under his breath as my sister was trying to explain to him she was upset because we never would’ve spent this money if we knew the online information was incorrect. He was talking over her, smirking, laughing under his breath, rolling his eyes. The way he treated my sister was absolutely disgusting. He needs to learn basic service skills again. Told us it’s not their job to make sure the information online is correct and there’s nothing he could do and basically best of luck to us. We are completely appalled and disgusted, we NEVER would have spent 300$ on some basic average hotel. There is nothing special about this place, if you wanna see the lake just go camping. No bags in garbages. WE WANT A REFUND.

I will start with the best, and it was Benita. It was 35' outside when we rode in on our motorcycle - to say it was a touch warm is an understatement. She recognized how hot we were and managed to get us into a room about 45 minutes before check in. truly appreciated. She also pointed out a small protected area near the front door where we could leave the bike. Again security is always a concern with motorcycles and this gave me peace of mind. The pool and hot tub were as would be expected. The room is somewhat dated but large and cool. Full kitchen would be useful if staying for more than one or two nights. The place was clean and quiet. The location is great - so close to the lake. The fitness center is rudimentary but I was able to do a minor workout (photo attached) Now for the worst - It was unfortunate the next morning when we were expecting breakfast, none was offered and when I asked I was provided with the name of a couple restaurants to consider. For the price I found the place a little expensive. I would have appreciated an offer of a token discount as I had booked planning for us to have breakfast included.

We stayed 4 nights in a 2 bedroom walkout beach access suite. Pros: -fabulous location close to town with water views on both sides of the hotel -clean sandy beach -free underground parking -comfy beds and a TV in each bedroom -indoor pool is warm and the pool and hot tub are clean -blackout roller shades and air conditioning kept the room nice and cool -daily housekeeping, which is rare nowadays -easy beach access from the walkout patio with a private picnic table -full sized range, fridge and dishwasher -large dining room table with a pass through to the kitchen -bunk beds that were advertised as twin over twin on the website were actually double over queen which my kids loved -a nice entryway space with a bench and shelf with hooks -vanity with storage and a large countertop Cons: -only 3 bath towels were initially provided despite our reservation being for a family of 4. It was easy to request more towels but at least 1 towel per person should already be in the room -no toaster or kettle and only basic cookware provided (for example no mixing bowl or measuring spoons/cups, no chopping knife) -no broom so you're constantly bringing sand into the room from the patio -had to wait in line for 15 minutes to check in as it was busy and they only had 1 staff member working -never any pool towels in the pool room -no dresser or luggage stand in the master bedroom so everything just sits on the floor -check-in isn't until 4 pm and check-out is 1030 am rather than the standard 3pm and 11am. Overall our stay was amazing and I'd recommend this hotel, especially the walkout beach access suite.
