  I have been going to a best western plus for over 20 years and I have never been as disappointed with this one. We had to ask someone to wipe the table we sat at for breakfast as it was still filthy. Food was running out as it was a full hotel, but they should've had staff to cover. Also the water pressure was so bad, it was barely able to flush the toilet, at times we had to ask for a plunger as nothing was being flushed. I actually had to fill the ice bucket with water to flush the toilet. When I mentioned this at the front desk and all I got was sorry. It would have been nice if they offered to give us a discount, but nothing. This was a suit and was a special get away to spend with my granddaughter and daughter in law. Not very happy

  Extremely satisfied with my stay at BW. Next to Rattlesnake made the experience more enjoyable for my child. Love everything about my trip. Breakfast has many options.

  Make sure you close your room door tight. A person gained access to my room because my door wasn’t shut properly.

  I am usually quite satisfied with BW properties but last time something went wrong. Firstly, we were downgraded to a single “handicapped” room instead of our original booking. Frond desk reaction?— “we are having a big golf group now, so we are fully booked”. Now to the Room (# 107):: literally everything is outdated and cracked, even the coffee mugs, chipped paint on the windowsill, curtains that are not blinds… The A/C filters were never cleaned— we woke up totally sick next morning. The A/C blows directly on the bed. There was no shower gel in the bathroom. The breakfast is a joke: scrambled eggs made from powder and paper plates so everything gets cold before you reach your table. The gym has old dated equipment. The mattress is awful. We were really struggling with falling asleep. The Front Desk didn’t acknowledge our BW membership status and didn’t inform about the points or any special offers. We had to follow up ourselves (upon check-out). The most uncomfortable stay. Definitely not worth the price.

  The hotel is noticeably tired — worn furniture and dated interiors make it clear a renovation is long overdue. The biggest issue, however, is the near-complete lack of soundproofing. If you end up on a lower floor, expect to hear everything your upstairs neighbors do: every footstep, every shower, every middle-of-the-night bathroom visit. My room came with a bonus problem — a constant, irritating knocking from the ceiling above the bathroom. The hotel is apparently aware of its noise issues, which makes it all the more baffling that their solution is to sell earplugs at the front desk rather than simply fix the problem or include them in the room. For the price and the brand's reputation, this is easily one of the weakest Best Western properties I've stayed at. I genuinely regret not driving the extra hour to the Fairfield in Penticton. On the bright side, the hotel is clean and odor-free — it's not a place you'd want to flee. Just don't expect a restful night's sleep without earplugs.
