  It's fine. Older hotel. Good location, close to the harbour and some nice storefronts. Rooms are on the smallish side, but clean enough. Paper thin walls; can hear the bathroom taps running several rooms away. Front desk staff are helpful, but a bit cold. Housekeeping is "by appointment/request only", so bear that in mind. Fitness centre is pretty sad. Parking is a bit of a challenge, as to be expected with a smaller place. This is definitely more of a "convenience over comfort" place imo.

  This is the best place to stay as it's right in the middle of city and plus accommodations are great and service excellent

  I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. When I arrived to check in, I explained that I had accidentally left my purse on the ferry and therefore did not have my physical ID with me. I completely understand that hotels have policies regarding identification and respect the need to protect guests. However, I was disappointed by how the situation was handled. I had the credit card used for the reservation and photos of my ID available, but the staff refused to consider any alternatives. Not only was I denied access to my room, but I was also refused a refund despite being unable to stay. I asked to speak with a manager and was not given that opportunity. The staff showed very little empathy or willingness to help find a solution. I also noticed other guests experiencing problems during check-in, which suggested that customer service issues were not isolated to my experience. It’s one thing to enforce policies, but it’s another to provide no flexibility, no managerial support, and no refund when a guest is unable to use the room. I expected much better customer service and left feeling frustrated and disappointed.

  I think this hotel has been underrated. Check-in was strictly after 4 p.m. but we were able to leave our (small 16 foot) trailer in the parking lot while we ran errands before check-in. There was a tall gentleman at check-in (sorry, I didn’t catch his name), who was extremely helpful. He called the manager to get permission for us to use the ice machine for our fishing trip the next morning. Our room was excellent; spotlessly clean and luxurious with a fantastic view of the harbor! Our dog stayed in a Michael Lake kennel the first night, but was welcome for the next 2 nights. The hotel has excellent amenities. The laundry/ “kitchen” (has microwave and a large sink), was convenient and laundry was free. There is a roof-top patio with picnic tables and lounge chairs which was very convenient for our first night picnic of fresh catch dungeons crabs! The location is so convenient with easy access to shops, restaurants etc. very nice and Thankyou! I do recommend asking about parking if they don’t offer the information.
