  I have had an extended stay with this hotel and the experience, overall, has been quite pleasant. All of the staff have been enjoyable to interact with, as my stay continued to extend, I was fortunate enough to see more of their personalities, which made the time at the hotel more enjoyable. Both Vera and Julia at the front desk are helpful and charming (as well as others whom I interacted less with and did not receive their names), housekeeping staff have been pleasant whenever I encountered them and I've heard plenty of good things from the staff at the breakfast. If you're in Kelowna for a short or long stay, this is a fine hotel to be in, especially if you value engaging staff that are helpful and insightful.

  If you don’t want to be called “frustrating” after questioning a billing mistake made by the hotel, don’t stay here. I was incorrectly charged for a bottle of water that I never consumed. When I contacted the front desk, the initial response was that it would take 7 days to investigate. I asked how it could possibly take a week to determine whether I drank a bottle of water that wasn’t even in my room, and instead of explaining the process professionally, the staff member suddenly called me “frustrating.” It was later confirmed that another guest’s charges had mistakenly been posted to my account, meaning the billing error was entirely caused by the hotel. An apology doesn’t erase how unprofessionally the situation was handled. On top of that, this was the only hotel I’ve stayed at where the front desk didn’t even greet us. No “Hi,” no “Welcome,” not even eye contact. After about 30 seconds of silence, the agent simply said, “ID and credit card.” It was one of the coldest check-in experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone makes mistakes, but customer service is measured by how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on both professionalism and hospitality.

  I stay exclusively at Holiday Inn when travelling so I understand how this property compares to others. Nice property overall. Adequate spacious room, with a not so great shower. The hotel advertises 24 hour coffee available in the lobby. Because we're up very early due to planned activities it was a great feature for us because the machine in the room just isn't an option we will use due to unknown cleaning practices. 4am went to the lobby and no coffee available. I asked and was told "sorry, there is no coffee right now". I replied that the website notes that it's 24 hours and the response was "oh, yeah it's supposed to be but the only coffee we have right now is cold". No offer to make some, just a sorry I can't help. Looking for options close buy to purchase coffee and nothing close by is open until at least 5am when we've already left for the day. This may seem like a small thing but it day one of our vacation off on the wrong foot. I would think twice before staying here next time, even as a loyal rewards member. I would likely look at a different chain... Who knows, maybe they'll have something I prefer over Holiday Inn for future travel wherever I go.

  Our 3-day stay at Holiday Inn Express was wonderful! The hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. What truly made our stay special was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. A special thank you to Lannie for keeping our room spotless and making us feel so welcome. We also appreciate Paul, Tin, and Graciella at the breakfast buffet for their friendly and attentive service. My parents especially felt at home because of your kindness. A huge shout-out to Paul for sharing great recommendations and travel tips around Kelowna. Your genuine care made our trip even more memorable. Thank you to the entire Holiday Inn Express team for making our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with exceptional customer service. We can’t wait to come back. God bless you all!

When we encountered an issue with our online reservation, Jenika handled everything with patience, respect, and compassion. She went above and beyond to find the best solution for us, making what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and reassuring. We have just one small suggestion that could make the experience even better for wheelchair users: an automatic or easier-to-open door for the accessible rooms would greatly improve accessibility and independence.
