  If you have to be in Kamloops (we were there for an overnight stop on the Rocky Mountaineer) this is a wonderful hotel. Very new, well-designed, large rooms, the most comfortable bed imaginable, etc. Highly recommend.

  Because our stay at Holiday Inn & Suites Kamloops was brief — a quick snooze after we arrived far too late on the Rocky Mountaineer and had to get up far too early for the next leg of the journey — I can't say much about it. The room was pleasant enough. We got in too late due to unexpected train delays for me to have any sense of the service and staff at this hotel. Rocky Mountaineer issued keys for our rooms and had our luggage waiting in the rooms, so we didn't have to deal with any hotel staff. Based on our short experience with this Holiday Inn, I'd recommend it to others, though noting that I didn't spend much time there, and it doesn't seem to be centrally located for walking in the town of Kamloops.

  Checked in by using their 1800 service because contacting the hotel directly was not an option according to them. $246 for a dirty room and over $120 in fees and service charges. Then a $18 non refundable booking fee. Then no free parking for ev but instead have to pay $1/minute to charge. When I called to complain I got the standard “oh well, you approved it”. This is a joke for a dirty room in a crappy hotel.

  Super gear hotel. Only one with shuttle which is worth the extra cost. Staff super nice. Rooms nice.
