I travel regularly for my job and this hotel is a cut above so many I’ve stayed at. Clean rooms, convenient location and the service is exemplary. I wish to mention one person in particular. Her name is Sharon and she’s in charge of the breakfast area. What a wonderful person she is and she went the “extra mile” for me when I mentioned they were out of orange juice. She takes pride in her duties here and it shows. The breakfast area is always spotless, the food fresh and Sharon always in a friendly, helpful and uplifting mood. I wish more of the places I stayed had a Sharon. Hats off to the ownership for hiring amazing staff that made a great impact on my visit here. I highly recommend this place if you’re going to stay in Dawson Creek. It doesn’t get any better.

Industries, take heed: if there is any possibility that you may need to depart early, this is not the hotel for you. This establishment has proven to be the most challenging and uncooperative we have encountered in our family's nearly 30 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, which has involved countless hotel stays. My young daughter reserved a 13-night stay at this Best Western hotel through Expedia in Dawson Creek, believing it would save her employer money. She typically opts for more affordable options in the area, but they were fully booked. Regrettably, her cross-shift arrived four days ahead of schedule, necessitating an early checkout—a situation she has handled without issue on multiple occasions in the past. However, the hotel staff informed her that they could not accommodate this due to the third-party booking. We promptly contacted Expedia, who had no objections whatsoever and reached out to the hotel several times—via both phone and email—to confirm their approval. Despite this, the manager steadfastly refused. We escalated the matter to the Best Western corporate complaint line, only for the manager to reject their intervention as well. Even our direct appeals to the hotel manager were met with outright denial of a refund for the three unused nights—not even a partial reimbursement for two of them. As a result, my daughter must cover these costs personally, effectively rendering half of her work period uncompensated. We fully acknowledge that this was a third-party reservation, yet Expedia explicitly endorsed the early departure. In our extensive experience, early checkouts have never posed a problem before, including at other Best Western properties. As anyone in industries knows, job schedules shift, projects conclude ahead of time, and such adjustments are commonplace. I have consulted with family members, friends, and business associates, none of whom have ever encountered a similar refusal. Expedia, in contrast, was exemplary in their handling of the situation, doing everything possible to assist and even issuing a personal apology to my daughter.

I have spent my fair share of time in this hotel. Since becoming a BW the renovations have been impressive. The rooms are nice, beds are great, lobby/breakfast is anything you could ask for. On top of that the staff are absolutely top shelf. Couldn’t say enough positive things about them. My only gripe is the fitness area. Been under construction for what feels like forever. It’s been months and the fitness area still isn’t complete. Not too sure what the holdup is but someone needs to expedite the process. I’m getting tired of having to pay drop in fees at the local gyms. Honestly at the point where I’m going to explore other hotels that have better fitness facilities and that’s saying something as I’ve been staying here’s for the past 3-4 years whenever work brings me to the area.

Excellent Newly renovated and comfortable. I was in town for an event at the Ovintiv Event Centre right across the street. The free breakfast was good, except for the very uncooked bacon.... just sayin.
