At check in, they told me I needed my original card to check in. I explained I used my card on file with the app. When I gave them the number they said it wasn’t accurate. When I asked which card they had on file they wouldn’t tell me? Otherwise the staff was decent.
The property does not use digital keys. Unfortunately the room had a musty smell. The carpets seemed a little wet? A table had some sort of oil on it. The sink was very slow to drain and had at least one ant we saw. The shower gel was out. We were given some bonus points as compensation for these inconveniences.
I’m finding Hilton to be slipping more and more these days with their franchise properties. I understand it’s a Hampton Inn but once upon a time you could count on any Hilton property to have high standards of at least cleanliness. I would personally look for other options in this area.

Had a great stay with family during my visit to Pismo. Staff were friendly - especially Lia at the front desk. She clicked a family pic for us. 🧑🧑🧒🧒
Pros: ✅
- Extremely courteous and friendly staff
- Free breakfast had many options and was well kept 🧇🥚☕️🥣
- Rooms were nice and clean
- SPA/Jacuzzi was great and temperature controlled
- Great value for money 💰
- Hot coffee available 24/7
Cons: ❌
- Is closer to the freeway and the noise 💥🎧is very much audible in the night. It can be reduced to an extent by turning on the ac/heater fan
- cz this hotel is slightly on the hill; 1st floor is two levels down from the ground floor 🤷🏻♂️

We came here as a stop on our vacation. The hotel lobby was clean and there was coffee available, even in the evening. The room was comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was hot and available at 6 am. I was impressed that this affordable hotel served sausage patties, potatoes and eggs as well as a make your own waffle section.

This was a bad stay for my family of four. When we arrived the room was not ready so we went out to swim and were told they’d call when it was ready. Never got a call and had to do the whole check-in again after I wondered why it was taking forever and inquired. In the morning, the fire alarm went off at 5 am causing us to be awoken and evacuate the building. I called emergency services based on this and the staff seemed miffed when the fire department showed up. Apparently, the hotel staff were just going to let us back inside without ensuring that the building was safe to occupy! Turns out an employee left something in an oven the day before and it started to burn when that morning’s employee turned the oven on. My youngest child had nightmares for several months about fire alarms going off from this experience. Free breakfast was the only redeeming thing about the hotel. The hot tub water looked disgusting, too.
