Terrible experience, I checked in on 11/20/25, I stayed in room 329. When I arrived at night, the front desk (male) checked me into my room. I provided my name and my company credential(room was prepaid by the company). He said the room was not prepaid, & I need to submit a payment via debit/credit card. This went back and forth for 5 min. Then I asked to speak with management. He got upset, but he looked more thoroughly in his computer, then he said yes it's paid for but I needed a debit card waiver. He didn't offer be the breakfast schedule, no amenity just gave me my key, map and told me to follow the map. Never staying in this hotel ever again.
This is a real late post of our stay. I completely forgot to leave one. We stayed here in mid October and enjoyed our stay VERY much. The room was big and included a fridge, coffee maker, and tvs. All the things. We loved the Spanish feel the hotel gives. Our boys loved the pool. The Jacuzzi was my favorite (it was working just fine). The breakfast was continental style along with a waffle maker. It in close proximity to the pier and plazas. I was so happy to know there was a laundry room. The staff were friendly and we were so pleased when they assisted us with booking another night's stay last minute when our other plans got canceled. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and loved the feel of the place. It was a great place to end our week long road trip. We actually are looking forward to returning.
My parents and I stayed at Best Western on Saturday, November 15, 2025. We booked our reservation through Travelocity. Upon check-in, we were given two keys for Room 326, but one of them did not work. While this in itself was not a major issue, the situation that followed became concerning.
When we entered the room, we were unsure if it had been properly serviced or possibly still occupied. There was a newspaper with a cup of water on the table, the chair was pulled out as if someone had been sitting there, and trash was left in the trash can. When my mother called the front desk to report this, she was told that she could remove the trash herself, but that no one from staff would be sent to address it. After paying over $150 for a one-night stay, this response was unacceptable. At every other hotel—and even motels—we have stayed at, we have always been told to contact the front desk if we needed anything, and that staff would take care of it.
Unfortunately, the customer service provided by both front desk employees (a male with long hair and a female employee) was extremely unprofessional, which has prompted me to contact corporate regarding this experience.
Returning to the room key issue: when my father went to the front desk to have the key reactivated, he mentioned the rude response my mother received regarding the trash. The male employee told my father that it was not a big deal and implied that my mother was overreacting. To us, finding trash in the room raises serious concerns about whether the room was properly cleaned at all—whether the sheets, bedding, and towels were fresh and sanitized. At the price we paid, guests should be able to expect both a clean room and courteous, professional service as a basic standard.
The exchange between staff and my father about these concerns only escalated the situation due to their dismissive attitude. Based on this experience, we will not be staying at this location in the future. We email the General Manger, Rita Guman and left a voice-mail at the corporate office, both have gone unanswered. It's ashame, because the hotel looks really nice. But if the staff is rude and dont care about the appearance and presentation of their rooms, we dont care to ever return here or ANY Best Western for that matter.

My family and I have stayed at the Casa Grande Inn in Arroyo Grande many times on our 2 night, 2 day trips from San Francisco to SoCal. Our rooms are always clean, beds always comfortable, and included breakfast hits the spot when we need to leave quickly. My favorite feature of this Best Western, however, is the wonderful, colorful and unique Western decor in the lobby and landscape touches around the property! It's always a joy to stop by this motel and refuel with rest, food, and a warm heart for the kind service and unique, restful atmosphere at Casa Grande. We'll be back!

The grounds are great. The room is huge. Breakfast I give 2/5 stars. Room 425 King Suite I give 2/5 stars. Very outdated. Biggest problem. The Jacuzzi tub does NOT WORK AND LEAKS. When I addressed with front desk they KNEW it didnt work and told me to put a rag in the hole. Well that obviously doesnt work with a Jacuzzi. Why would they even rent the room if the ONE AMMENITY that I wanted doesnt work and wasn't disclosed upon check in. Sad.
