We wanted to check out Avenue of Giants the next day so we stopped here. It was a mission finding a clean / semi updated hotel between Crescent City to Arcata to be honest. The rooms are cleaner than I anticipated as I have never stayed at a Best Western. Also, my dog had fun in the grassy area. The only negative was my fridge didn’t open easily and it dragged out in a weird way. PS- The front desk attendant named Angie was sooo kind, patient, lovely and easy to chat with. After a long day of rain, wind and delays…She was a breath of fresh air. She deserves a raise! Customer service was on point!

Checkin desk staff were always smiling and very pleasant/helpful to deal with. This hotel would be at the top of my list visiting this area again.

The guy at the reception was very nice and friendly. But the property itself is pretty basic, especially for the room rent they charge. The washroom is really cramped and very uncomfortable. Would not recommend!

The amount of options they include in the free breakfast is impressive, and it’s obvious they have a trained chef in the back because the food was delicious and perfectly made! Not only that but she kept checking up on me and making sure everything was good which you don’t see at a lot of hotels.
