Disneyland Hotel Villas Review – Deeply Disappointing
I never thought I’d be writing a review like this about a Disneyland property, but here we are.
The Villas rooms at the Disneyland Hotel are shockingly underwhelming—honestly, barely a step above a Motel 6. The finishes feel cheap, the design is generic, and there’s a noticeable lack of the quality and attention to detail you expect from Disney.
I’ll admit it’s possible I missed something during booking, but even with that consideration, this falls far below what should be Disney standards. When you stay at a Disney property, you’re paying a premium for experience, immersion, and quality—none of which are reflected in these rooms.
The furniture was damaged second hand from a garage sale.
This doesn’t feel like Disney magic—it feels like a budget shortcut dressed up with a Disney label.
If you’re expecting the usual Disney-level accommodations, I would strongly reconsider booking the Villas.

Stayed at the villas at Disneyland Hotel Villas and overall had a great experience. The room was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Everything felt organized and we had zero issues during our stay, which made it easy to relax after long park days.
That said, compared to staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel back in the 2000s, a lot of the perks seem to be gone. It used to feel more like a premium experience with extra touches and a booklet of perks. For the price, it would be nice to see more of that brought back.
Also, when the pool area closes at night, you have to walk all the way around it to get back to the lobby, which turns into a bit of a hassle after a long day. A better way to navigate that area would really help.
Clean, comfortable, and reliable stay but bringing back more perks and improving access would take it to the next level.

This is probably one of our least favorite Disney Vacation Club resorts. We had a preferred studio on the 11th floor. You had to look down to see the pool view that made it preferred. Most of the view was parking lot. The view would have been awesome if it we were in the 7-8 floor. There is no balcony on the studio rooms. Most DVC villas and studios have balconies. I’m guessing it is to stay in them with the Disneyland hotel. The rooms were small and bathroom is already out of date. No walk-in shower like most other DVC studios. I wish there was ceiling, which is also common in the villas, as our room stayed warm and was never able to reach the thermostat temp.
It’s a beautiful resort and location is great. We will definitely stay again because it does meet our needs for 3-4 night stay.

We got the 3 bedroom Suite and it was beautiful!! Balconies off the bedrooms upstairs and a huge balcony on the main level with a nice outside sitting area. The staff bring a big basket of fruit and charcuterie board every night!! We've stayed at almost every Suite in the three Disneyland hotels and this is by far my favorite!
