We decided to stay here for the first time since they upgraded this hotel. Everything was really nice. Rooms were great and the cast members were amazing. The only reason I won’t be coming back is because of their elevators. This has to be the worst elevator system ever. We waited 30 minutes just to get to our room with two sleepy toddlers. They ended up taking people over to the service elevators because it was so bad. You should just pay the little extra to stay at the Disneyland hotel. It’s much better.

This hotel has such bad design. It was our first time staying at Pixar since the renovation and I am so disappointed in their elevators and stairwells. We spent so long trying to figure out how to get around this hotel. They upgraded elevator system so that you tell which floor you are going to before you get on and it is really just so unnecessary and makes it take even longer. It’s already ridiculously long at park opening and closing. I wait about 5 minutes every single time I go to use it. So I started looking for the stairs, went from one end of the building to another, no stairs. I had to ask a staff member for help, stairs are outside at the back of the building and it requires your virtual key card which doesn’t even work properly half the time. I ran into multiple other groups that said they didn’t know where the stairs were either and were looking for them. Honestly so disappointing and crazy how a hotel like Disney designed their hotel so counterintuitive and horribly. I love Disney and think they tend to do an amazing job, but with just one day I feel so frustrated by the easily preventive guest experiences I felt immediately upon arriving.

TL/DR: I don’t recommend this hotel, especially if you want to stay on property. For a new hotel, there’s too many issues like sound, storage, and facilities that don’t match up to the high price
Here’s my thoughts
Pros:
-excellent front desk service
-close to DCA, exclusive entrance just for Pixar place!
-fun outdoor lounge area with games and pool
-modern room
-mini fridge but no freezer or microwave
-small gym but nice equipment. They put out cuties, water bottles, and nutri grain bars during the day in there.
Cons
-my biggest complaint is the lack of sound proofing. You can hear in the hallway and your neighbors! We slept terrible most nights because we could hear the TV of our neighbors and their conversations
-the beds are uncomfortable. They are too firm
-the shower constantly oscillated between hot and luke warm, even when set to the highest temperature. You think pay a few hundred a night would have something so simple figured out
- $52 a night for parking is insane. Disney won’t read or care about this review but just know you’re going to be ripped off. Even if you have a magic key. Sucks to suck!
-there is SO LITTLE storage drawer space. 3 usable drawers for a 2 queen bed room is ridiculous. Who designed these rooms to only have 3 drawers!?!?!!
-the snack bar food in the lounge area was mediocre and if you want a laugh, go look at the putt putt on the first floor
-I feel there’s an awkward ambiance to the first floor. Unlike the other hotels, there’s not a lot of space to sit and enjoy and chat. There are some spots but it’s so disjointed that it doesn’t feel inviting

We just got back from a lovely stay at Pixar Place Hotel. Our room had an amazing view and the hotel was decked out in gorgeous Christmas decor. The elevators are a little slow (partly because there are a lot of people using them) and many people didn’t seem to understand how to use them. - you push the floor you want to go to then it tells you which elevator to get on. This is great so you don’t have to stop at floors where nobody is going! But it’s a busy place so it’s not unexpected that it took some time. I do wish the club level food had better hours. Something that was open until the park closed would be ideal because you do have a lot of people getting back late so closing at 8 is a little too early. The pool could be open later as well. Those were the only faults I really have. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and it if wasn’t for living in a state they won’t deliver to, I would be ordering it asap. The pillows were equally amazing and thankfully I can get them from Amazon to bring a little if the Disney comfort home! All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel. The distance to Disney isn’t bad especially if you take the tram in. And getting to California adventure is awesome with the secret entrance! It’s a little pricy but a good splurge once in a while is called for!

PIXAR PLACE HOTEL HONEST REVIEW; service, location, experience. READ IN FULL!!
Please like and share to help others trying to book that perfect Disney experience for their family. Please, please, please.
Starting with location. Location is probably the only benefit that stands out more than just a normal hotel. Nothing about here is special.
Some things to be highly aware of before and during your stay if you choose to after this review.
I’m not familiar with the hotels cleaning process or if it was just my room..
My room if filthy… my bathroom had stained urine on the toilet seat. Bathroom counter was dirty. The shower is even dirtier on the floor tiles.. cleaner is not being used when cleaning and it is very clear and obvious.
Be ready to wait 30 minutes for an elevator every time you go in and out of the building. The elevators you can tell, someone was trying to be extra and smart. You’ll press for floor 1 button, then it directs you to an elevator. Well if people in that elevator are going up you’ll have to get in and ride all the way up and back down and hit every floor that someone presses a button, on the way down. Stopping every floor to tell people “we are full and going down, sorry. This is all under the impression people are respectful and let you get onto the elevator that was designated to you, instead of just grabbing the first elevator that comes, after entire family have been standing there waiting for 20-30 minutes.
I guarantee that you will be saying “we will use the stairs” after your first 30 minute wait. Of course that is if you don’t have a stroller, then you’re kinda stuck waiting. Leave stroller in the car to avoid this. You’ll have to pay for separate hotel parking nightly as well regardless of your Disney bundle. Parking isn’t included. You thought the nature Disney bundle covered everything? Sorry.. they really want your money, in order to give you the full Disney experience.
When leaving the do not disturb sign on the door the hotel staff still proceeded to lightly knock and proceeded to enter even with the sign up. This happened 3 times when we were in the room. She just walked in. With the do not disturb sign completely visible. VERY SUSPICIOUS several times we’ve told her politely no thank you. The fact she kept trying to see if we were here.
Be ready for the “DISNEY” experience.
When you get inside the room be ready for the downtime to not be as easy if you have very young children. The tv channels are limited forcing you to use Disney plus. Which is just fine, but when going to log in through the tv (only way it works) it doesn’t work. It doesn’t log on into the tv. Bring tablets and chargers lol.
Wish I could refund my package and get a better hotel and experience. Wasn’t how I thought the “best Disney bundle” experience was going to be. Very disappointing.
I Was highly recommended this hotel by a Disney travel agent. (She was amazing and very responsive and respectful. Nothing was her fault and she fulfilled her title to upmost dignity and pride). 10/10 Disney agent.
I will highly recommend you DO NOT do this hotel (Pixar Place Hotel). Just get a cheap hotel nearby as there isn’t much difference. Walk and pay for parking. You’ll have a better time and not feel stressed out that you wasted time or money on things. Is money a concern? Not really. It’s the principle that you get what you pay for. Don’t let the big pricey flashy prices online entice you to do a bundle. I will not be doing a bundle in the future after buying the best they could offer, I’d rather just plan the trip myself.
Most things could be overlooked, but just some key things to look out for before booking your trip and if you decided to stay here.
Im only three days into to my six day stay.
Why my Disney bundle was good?
I planned it one year in advance to beat the prices.
It’s close to the parks.
Thank you for reading.
