1 hour locked out of our room is unacceptable! I’m a really patient person and it might of back fired in this situation. It was our check-out day, and after swimming at the pool, my family and I went back to our room (Adventure Tower, 7th floor, room 2539). When we got there, our door wouldn’t open. I called the front desk using the phone by the elevator, and they walked me through several steps, but nothing worked. They said they would send someone up with new keys — those didn’t work either. From there, we were told Engineering would come up. Nobody showed. All of this already took around 30 minutes. Which is an eternity when waiting in a hallway with 1yr and 4yr old. We called again, were told help was being “rushed,” and still waited another 15 minutes with no one arriving. At this point, we had been standing in the hallway with our kids for close to an hour. If we knew it would take that long, we would’ve stayed at the pool, but we kept thinking someone was coming “any minute.” I finally ran downstairs to the front desk, spoke with a nice cast member named Tori, and she tried to help but even after that, no one came right away. In total, we were locked out of our room for almost one full hour, which in hospitality should absolutely be a priority. Lockouts should be treated urgently. This should never take that long. My wife and daughter were in towel the whole time. The one shining part of this whole experience was an amazing housekeeper. There was an older Hispanic housekeeper working on the 7th floor of Adventure tower on November 19th (around check out time 10am-12pm) who went above and beyond. She saw us waiting for a long time and took the time to help entertain my daughter, brought little Disney items for my kids, and even went to make phone calls herself to try to get us help faster. She showed true Disney-level customer service. She deserves recognition. Whoever she is, she represented the company unbelievably well, and she was the reason we stayed patient during an unacceptable situation. I truly hope management acknowledges her — she was the highlight of an otherwise frustrating experience. I really do hope Disney Hotels gets it together and makes lock outs priority. A family locked out of their room, stuck in a hallway for an hour is UNACCEPTABLE!

We booked Disneyland Hotel for 4 night's with a total 3 room connecting suites with a common area. Beds were comfortable, room was basic and clean. Two day's in we came back from Disneyland to flooding in our bathroom along with whatever was in the pipes exploded all over the sink s and our personal item's. It was disgusting. Took two phone calls and request for a manager to finally get someone to our room 45 minutes later. Manager Tim was very kind and helpful, was making a true effort to get things fixed and cleaned up, but their seemed to be breakdown with language barrier in communication with staff that needed to be done for clean up. I ended rewiping item's with Clorox wipes as bathroom item's that were to be replaced by cleaning staff were not. Also carpet in bedroom was supposed to be cleaned due to water flooding into bedroom and being tracked throughout the room while cleaning. Gentleman came to clean carpet and only cleaned up spot in front of door, we tried to speak to him about cleaning the traffic area and he just mumbled in Spanish and walked out. We had asked to have a call from the evening manager Niki but never heard from her, we really needed some follow through and follow up from her on issues we still needed addressed. We lost about 5 hours of our Disney time dealing with the mess. I compliment Tim Goodwin the manager assisting us before he was off shift he put in a lot of physical steps trying to get replacement item's etc. We had room service the last night, food and service was excellent. All food we had from restaurants and coffee shop was also good. Grandkids all had a great time, it's about a 15 minute walk through downtown Disney to get to the parks. Fun pool area also for the kid's.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for 3 nights and overall it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was pretty clean for the most part. The amenities were great, especially the pool which kids will love, and adults too if you enjoy water slides. The coffee shop was really convenient and the coffee was actually really good, but the food was a pass unless you stick to something simple like a muffin or pastry. The walk to Disneyland wasn’t bad at all. The only downside was the water pressure and the air conditioner not working in our room. Since that’s where you spend most of your time, it definitely brought the experience down for us (2 nights we came back from Disneyland our room was hot and we have a toddler so the ac techs were in our room at 11pm trying to fix it while all we wanted to do was sleep) That’s why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5.

The Baseline: For a hotel the rooms must be clean/comfortable, the amenities on the property must be usable/convenient, and the service on property must meet the needs for a comfortable stay. Property: This is the OG Disney Hotel with fun amenities. The pool, restaurants, theming, feeling, and general magic of the property comes through. The best part of a Disney property hotel is the short walk you take after your day in the theme parks. Also this hotel is a great area to watch the fireworks and it really makes your hotel experience that much better. Love the Disneyland Hotel! Rooms: The rooms are clean and extremely well kept. The best part of a Disney hotel is the theme you are staying in. The Adventure Tower we stayed in had a strong Jungle Cruise/Adventure Land theme throughout the entire experience. Comfortable beds and though the room has gone through constant rehabs it has been keeping up to accommodate for modern technology and needs. Service: Disney cast members are on super mode at a Disney hotel. Accommodating, friendly, helpful, and out to make your stay magical.

Magical Magical MAGICAL! This resort truly is magical.. Truly incredible how Disney makes you feel as though you were dropped into a tropical island getaway yet you're still very much in the "Disney bubble" We stayed in the Adventure Tower and it was a hop skip n jump away from the Downtown Disney security gate which was super convenient, especially for Early entry as that Disney gate open at 6:45 for guests. Everything from the beautiful green resort grounds, to the giant pool area with awesome slides, to even the smell of the resort (if you know, you know) just screams Disneyland. The room (2 queens 1 sofa bed) was spacious with wonderful Mickey Mouse accents throughout and that Castle headboard *Chefs kiss* is the icing on the cake! Just a heads up, Adventure tower is the closest tower to Downtown Disney, you may hear the live band playing if there is one performing.. Considering how loud it can be outside tho, the room really is pretty sound resistant. Also another great thing to know is that the day of check in and the day of check out, your allowed to use the facilities i.e. gym and pool area no matter the time of arrival or depature.. Had I known this we would've arrived much earlier! Just be sure to go to the front desk and get a temporary key. Same thing for parking.. You can utilize the self parking for arrival and departure date which is convenient if you choose to make either day a park day, just be sure you check your bags with bell services which is open 24 hrs.
