Disappointed overall, but with a few bright spots We are avid Disneyland guests and have also stayed in several deluxe and moderate resorts at Disney World, so we came into this stay with clear expectations based on a lot of Disney experience. Unfortunately, this was the first time we’ve ever been truly disappointed with a Disney hotel. We stayed in the Fantasy Tower, and for the price point, the room felt very small and noticeably outdated. The bathroom was the biggest letdown. The lighting fixtures had visible rust, the shower felt old and not very clean, and the water pressure was extremely weak. It definitely didn’t feel “deluxe,” which was surprising considering the cost. The beds were also very uncomfortable. You really sink into them, and while the pillows themselves were comfortable, there was really only one usable pillow per person. The other two felt more like decorative throw pillows than something you could actually sleep on. On top of that, the rooms ran hot, which made sleeping even harder. I intentionally skipped mobile check-in so I could request a crib at the front desk. When we returned to the room around 9 PM with an overtired infant, there was no crib waiting for us. To their credit, once I called, it arrived within about five minutes, but I shouldn’t have had to follow up after requesting it at check-in. What did go well: check-in was smooth, and we were able to get into our room right away even though we arrived around 1 PM, which was appreciated. Bell service was also quick and efficient both when bringing our bags up at check-in and when helping us get everything back to the car after checkout. The major positives were the staff and the location. Every cast member we interacted with was genuinely friendly and helpful, and being so close to the parks is incredibly convenient. There were a few small nostalgic touches we did really love, like the H2O+ Sea Salt bathroom products. The smell instantly brought us back to past Disney stays and honestly made us want to book our next Disney World trip. The light-up headboard with the little chime song was also a cute Disney touch. However, some of the other perks fell flat. Room service took about 75 minutes, and the security line going into Downtown Disney was surprisingly long. I also noticed people walking in from the Mickey and Friends parking structure, so the hotel guest entrance didn’t feel like much of a benefit. Even the included Lightning Lane perk required a phone call because one guest in our party didn’t initially have theirs showing in the app. Another frustration was the parking fee. Paying $45 per night for parking as a hotel guest felt excessive and honestly should be validated or included at this price point. Overall, this did not feel like a deluxe resort experience. Even with a discount, it felt more like paying deluxe pricing for a value-level room. I left feeling like I overpaid, which is not something I’ve ever felt at Disney before. One important note for future guests: the new DVC tower and updated rooms look absolutely stunning from everything I’ve seen. If you’re planning to stay here and your budget allows, I strongly recommend spending a bit more to book one of the newer rooms. I would return to try those, but I personally wouldn’t stay in the older towers again.

It's inevitable that a young child will get sick on a multi-night Disney adventure. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, sympathetic and human. The multi-day passes were acommodating. The location is ideal for easy access to the parks and restaurants in Downtown Disney. The pools are superb, and heated, with ideal bar proximity. The food at the Terrace is remarkably good. Tony is a superb bartender.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Im going to try to touch on everthing so here we go! We arrived around 11am on a Sunday to leave our luggage...they will store it for you until you check in to your room. Check in isn't until 3 so we figured there was no way our room would be available that early, but we decided to check and to our surprise...it was! It was perfect as it was the hottest day of our trip at 84 degrees so we were able to take advantage of the beautiful pool! The room was amazing...the giant wooden wall decor that covered the length of the room behind the beds was by far one of our favorite parts! The beds and pillows were comfy which is a must after a full day at the park and our beds were made and towels were refreshed daily while we were away. Security to get to Downtown Disney is just feet away from the hotel...the picture Ive shared under the giant sorcerer Mickey hat...security is right across from that. You enter at the very end of Downtown Disney so you can walk the 10 minutes to the park or if you're going to Disneyland, the monorail is conveniently located just passed Lululemon and Star Wars Trading Post. You'll scan your park ticket and it takes you right in to Tomorrowland. We enjoyed walking, but this was so convenient for mid day breaks or getting back to the hotel in the evening when you just don't want to take another step!! The Coffee House is located in the resort and we really enjoyed it. I had the Chia Yogurt Parfait every single day and my daughter would get their watermelon cup or their fruit trays. Always fresh and so so good! They have so many different options though...sandwiches, bagels, etc. Was very surprised with the options! Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill is right by the pool (to the left when looking at the picture I shared). We didn't eat there, but loved just the vibes when walking by especially at night time!! Goofy's Kitchen is another option right within the hotel convention center just to the right (when looking at the picture of the pool). There was also a bar and dining area just outside by the pool. In room dining was also an option. Other than The Coffee House, I can't speak to the food as we took advantage of the food options in the park and Downtown Disney for lunch and dinner, but there was definitely more than enough options within the resort. As far as the pool goes...there is more than what is pictured...there are 2 hot tubs and a whole other pool on the other side and a Steamboat Willie splash pad area. There was tons of seating and even private seating you can pay for. The ambiance was so nice and it didn't feel too crowded or anything. The two shops in the hotel were nice...there was one bigger shop with some resort specific items, but they also had a goid selection of other items you would find in the park or Downtown. The smaller shop had things for the pool...some swimwear, goggles, lotion, hats, etc. My husband took advantage of the gym and really enjoyed it...his only complaint was that there wasn't a tonal machine like at the Pixar Hotel. We also used the guest laundry room...it's $3 and some change to use each machine. I *think* that's everything. Overall, really loved our stay and will definitely return!!!

We just visited Disneyland Hotel in February. The hotel is very nice, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were fantastic. We started in the Discovery Tower in a DVC Villa, which was a two bedroom suite. This was our first experience in this kind of room, and it was incredibly spacious and fantastic for our kids sleeping situation. They were wiped out every night when we got back to the room, so leaving their beds available was very helpful. We enjoyed breakfast at Goofy's kitchen one day. It's fun seeing him in the spotlight, and all the food was delicious and seating gave us plenty of room. The location of the hotel as an easy walk through Downtown Disney as well as giving you the option to use the monorail into Disneyland Park was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this location, even though we didn't get to utilize all the amenities (pool, Trader Sam's, etc.) I'm sure those would've been fun bonuses to add to the experience.

A HUGE shout-out to the front desk crew at The Disneyland Hotel- Brittany, Elena, Ernesto and Penny! Thank you all for taking the time to help us with the issue we had. Each cast member that we interacted with throughout our visit was 10/10! This is why the Disney touch truly makes a difference. We felt GENUINELY cared for. The location is a quiet oasis away from the chaos of the parks and the reason why we keep coming back. Rooms are clean and cozy. We were able to enjoy the High Key Club concierge level during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the food offerings and again, the incredibly kind cast members who we interacted with there- Robert, Cynthia, Guille and Kay! Again, a great place to stay with *actual* magic made by those who work there.
