I am not sure how the star system works, but this place is great. The first thing I want to point out about the Eden Rock Inn is how clean it was. I have stayed in 3 star hotels that were dirtier and less upkept. I chose this location for it's location to the Anaheim Convention Center and the deals they offered. It was about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the C, D, and E hall. Not only that, it's close to down town disney and the California Adventure Park. I definitely recommend staying.

My family and I just stayed 4 nights at Eden Roc for our Disney trip, and I wouldn’t let the bad reviews scare you away from staying here. This place was fantastic. The front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming. We arrived a little early before check-in, and they were able to accommodate us right away, which was a huge plus. The parking fees were the cheapest around. I paid $40 total for all 4 days, which is very affordable for the area. The beds were very comfortable, and we all slept well each night. You can hear people above you at times, but it was very minimal and barely noticeable. The shower got very hot and had great water pressure. They also provide shampoo and other toiletries in the shower, which was nice in case you forget anything. It even smelled really good. The housekeeping staff were very kind and helpful whenever we needed extra towels. It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to Downtown Disney, which was super convenient. We could also see the fireworks from the parking lot, which was a fun bonus. If you get hungry, Finney’s is across the street and was really good too. Overall, this hotel was great, and I would highly recommend it for your next Disney trip.

Rooms are nice but be weary of getting a room right next to the main road. Also, Internet is non-existent. Wasn't able to sign in on my phone , fire stick or Tablet. I use my phone's hotspot for Internet.

I found the experience quite frustrating. Within 24 hours before check-in, I received frequent emails and messages from the hotel—almost every one to two hours—with no meaningful information, which felt excessive and disruptive. Additionally, on the following day, even though I had placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping still knocked multiple times, which was quite intrusive.

I had never heard of the Eden Roc before—and after this experience, I truly wish it had stayed that way. My first interaction with this hotel was an aggressive and unsettling phone call from a man named Oscar. He insisted—forcefully—that I provide my credit card over the phone immediately or risk having no place to stay. This came right after I had already been displaced from a confirmed reservation at Best Western Meridian Inn & Suites, Anaheim-Orange, which had been canceled due to overbooking despite being made months in advance. I was told Eden Roc, a sister property, would take great care of us. That assurance could not have been further from the truth. After an exhausting 11-hour day of travel, we arrived expecting the same accommodations we had originally booked: a family suite with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Instead, we were told no such room existed and were given a standard two-queen room. This left a member of my family—who has a disability—with no option but to sleep on a hard laminate floor. No cot. No rollaway. No effort to provide a solution. The room itself was unacceptable. The bathroom was visibly dirty, with hair throughout and mildew growing in the tile. The situation escalated the following night after returning from a long day at Disneyland. As we were settling in, large cockroaches began emerging from our suitcases. These were not small bugs—they were approximately two inches long. My children had never even seen a cockroach before. We immediately killed one and went to the front desk. The response was completely lacking in empathy. We were offered another room—nothing more. So, at midnight, we were forced to pack up everything and move. Traveling with children with disabilities means managing medications, equipment, and additional needs, making this an enormous burden. Still, no solution was offered for the sleeping arrangements. With no availability anywhere nearby, we had no choice but to pay an additional $470 out of pocket for a second room for the remaining two nights—just to ensure our family had a safe and sanitary place to sleep. The next morning, I attempted to speak with a manager and was again met by Oscar. His response was combative, dismissive, and frankly shocking. He told me I wasn’t upset with Eden Roc—I was upset with Best Western. I clarified that I was upset with both. He then denied the cockroach issue, stating they “don’t have cockroaches” because they use pest control—yet in the same breath acknowledged seeing the one we killed. He attempted to reframe them as “water bugs,” which are, in fact, a type of cockroach. His only solution? Move us again—for the final night. Ironically, this time they suddenly had the family suite we were told did not exist. In all my years of travel—across the country and internationally—I have never experienced such a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, or basic human decency. This experience didn’t just inconvenience us—it ruined a trip we had spent months planning. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.
