I have waited years to be able to stay at the Disneyland hotel. Maybe my expectations were too high going in because of that. We were celebrating our wedding and invited our 15 of our friends and family. We called to make the reservation and explained the circumstances and requested that we be roomed nearby. We had a two bed villa and two deluxe suites in the discover tower. When we arrived we got very conflicting information about parking. Then when our rooms were assigned they were very far apart (floor 4 vs floor 10). Despite being the primary guest, everyone else’s digital key worked except my own, so we had to go pick up physical cards. When we arrived in the room, we still found hair from the previous guests in the shower. There was an envelope in our room mentioning a free gift. We thought this was because we had it noted that we were celebrating on our reservation. Nope! It was about the DVC timeshare. We dropped nearly $10,000 to get a sales pitch. Not a single cast member or agent at the front desk acknowledged the celebration note on our reservation. Despite there being some initial cleaning issues in the room, I have to say, the cleaning staff were incredibly nice! By far the nicest cast members we interacted with during our stay. Honestly, even with the proximity to the park, I won’t be staying at the hotel again. The value just isn’t there.

Hotel is nice lots to do very pricey probably something I will only do once. the room was ok but the hotel grounds where on another level. A little disappointed that a few of the restaurants closed for refurbishment earlier and they were supposed to since I planned our stay around one of them being open whenever you could still get the food but not actually dying at the location which is the whole point.

Normally this would not be a 5-star hotel, but for convenience with Disneyland, it’s significantly better than the Grand Californian despite a slightly further walk to the park because the pool area with slides is nicer as are the actual guest rooms in the discovery tower. The only area of improvement is the bell desk consistently takes 10+ minutes to answer the phone and 25+ minutes to take bags

Rooms are very nice, but the price is for the convenience. Service is excellent and locations is wonderful. Lyft and Uber have no problems picking you up in front of the hotel.

I have to admit, I'm a Disney Darling. We love Disneyland even as the prices get higher. The rooms are always amazing not to mention well insulated. This makes them quieter than the average hotel. 👏 We routinely use room service in the morning following a day at the parks. The options are limited but tasty. 😋 The staff is always wonderful and helpful. From the waste management to the shift managers they all treated us and other guests like royalty. Being located at the end of Downtown Disney gave us the perfect opportunity to shop, eat, and shop some more while enjoying the beautiful, albeit packed, atmosphere. We are older and plan a day for just this activity and Disney provides many shops between the main Downtown Disney store to the Star Wars Trading Post. There are plenty of food options to refuel while you explore. The only drawback is the prices are high. For us it's worth it because we only manage to get to Southern California once a year these days. As former pass holders I wish it was a little cheaper for three day guests. We tend to spend more then our pass holder friends when we visit. Of course we will be back.
