One of the worst beds we've ever experienced. We got the room with 2 queens. We ended up leaving around 2am because we couldn't sleep due to the pain it caused. You lay down and it went into an upside down triangle shape. Which cases extreme lower back pain. We got the pet friendly room at the end of the hall facing the parking lot. Smoke from people smoking always came in through the window so we couldn't have it open. The emergency exit door was constantly being used and it slammed shut so our dogs got triggered a lot. Now that I think of it I've only had 1 good stay at a best western that had a bed that we were able to sleep in and that was in red deer. We haven't stayed in best western in years because it never works out. Decided to give it another try as my husband wanted to relax in the hottub but no hot tub is worth it if you cant relax in the bed. All in all terrible experience. Not all affordable hotels have uncomfortable beds but the best western will never be one of those.

Stayed here for a medical appointment in Edmonton, we chose it specifically for its separate bedroom from the rest of the room. My husband needs to sleep after his procedure and this gives him the privacy he needs. It was a great room, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, desk, sofa bed, even had a spare blanket which you don't normally find. Only down side - bed was too soft and the edges of the bed were quite hard digging into your legs when you are either sitting on the edge of the bed or if your leg is at a 90 degree angle when laying on your front while sleeping , is how I sleep. Breakfast is great, huge assortment to choose from such as pancakes, waffles, cereals, fruit, eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt , hard boiled eggs, coffee/tea/juices, etc... It was very quiet, a great big beautiful grassy park area next to the hotel in a residential area. ***Word of WARNING- do NOT get a room on the Time Horton's side, otherwise you will be woken up at 5 am by "I'd like a double double!" We learnt this the hard way once, don't make the same mistake we did. I mean, who puts a drive through right next to a hotel- in the same parking lot??

Terrific place. Different rooms do have different quality beds, so there's that to be aware of. The breakfast was great and there are plenty of amenities within walking distance.

Front desk staff were excellent! My husband is in a wheelchair and makes it very difficult to visit family in their home. The staff allowed us to use a meeting room adjacent to the breakfast room for our dinner with family! My family brought dinner and we were able to sit in the room, around a table and have an enjoyable meal! The beds in the rooms are too high, my husband could not get up onto the bed to go to sleep. Front desk had no foot stools for us to use so we had to improvise. The shower head in our bathroom wad awful, no ability to change the setting on the shower head. The water came iut without much pressure, I couldn't even get the shampoo out of my hair let alone the conditioner.
