Very poorly managed. haven't returned my deposit on the room. After requesting information about the refund I was told the accounts team is traveling and will get back to me in June (we stayed on June 5th). Make sense to me! find a different option in Red Deer if you don't feel like dealing with a hassle.

My loyalty points were "expiring" if I didn't book another hotel stay soon - what a scam that is? Anyways, booked a room here (rather than a nicer hotel closer to where I need to be the following day) so that I could keep my points... Chose this as it had a fitness room and indoor pool. It's on me to assume that indoor pool also meant hot tub, as most hotels typically have both or neither.
There is no hot tub here, just a plywood hexagon where one should be. The fitness room has no security camera, no means of sterilizing equipment after use, a weight bench and no weights, and several cardio machines (bike, treadmill, elliptical). Thankfully it has an adjustable cable tower awkwardly positioned in the centre of the room, but it is not a very inviting space.
After discovering the lack of hot tub, I retreated to my room to find a shower with water that just does not GET hot either, mounting frustrations further. The ventilation fan in our bathroom barely works or the vents are clogged, as the steam buildup from the cool temperature shower was still enough to coat the counters and walls with dripping moisture.
Sign into the wifi, or forget using Internet. The walls are impenetrable for standard communication signals, so prepare to hang out in your vehicle if you have any important work to do involving the Internet. Despite living in the 21st century, keeping your key card within any kind of distance to your personal device renders it useless, leaving one with multiple walks through the absolutely maze of hallways back to reception to re-key the card.
The room looks like it may have been decorated by my grandmother - God rest her soul... And not to mention the actual drive to get in to this place is incredibly confusing, with several different illegal u-turn options proving to be the most convenient. Not my first time here... But I think it will be my last for sure.

Caries and the whole Holiday Inn Express crew was more than helpful from the moment we walked into the hotel. Nothing but professional and kind. Definitely recommend:)

Older rooms, AC is extremely loud and not overly effective, large mini fridge is great and microwave in room is handy, too. Room is clean overall. A bit frustrating not to have the ability to access streaming TV services through the in-room TV.

This hotel is super quiet, very sound proof and conveniently located across from Bower and tons of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are upgraded with remote heat and AC unit. Service is exceptional and the complimentary self serve breakfast option has everything to satisfy everyone. Endless supply of bacon, turkey sausage, omelet te or boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffin, cinnamon buns, bread....absolutely delicious. This buffet breakfast would cost easy $20 minimum at a family restaurant and you can take it to go!
