  The staff is so warm and welcoming, the restaurant is superb, and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I’d been told that this was the place to stay for overnighting near Edmonton’s airport, and the recommendation was spot on!

  I don't normally write reviews but I feel this hotel is well deserving of a great review based solely on the customer service alone. We had booked a night there before a flight, and after we had gotten on our flight, we realized that we had left a very important stuffy for our youngest at the hotel. I emailed the hotel, and the Manager, Sarabjyot Singh, answered my email very quickly stating that housekeeping had gone to the room, found it, and brought it to the lost and found. Not only did they hold onto it for our return, 3.5 weeks later, the manager had put the stuffy in a bag with a note stating that it was a very important item, and do not toss out. This act of service cemented our loyalty to this hotel for future trips to Edmonton. I will also add that the rooms were very well kept, the housekeeping staff have always been very friendly, saying hello when we passed by. They also left personal notes on the note pads saying "enjoy your stay". The restaurant staff were very friendly and pleasant. Front desk staff were very informative, and pleasant as well. Thanks for another great stay! Definitely recommend!

  On the evening of August 12th, multiple vehicles had catalytic converters stolen from this location. If you stayed there that evening, and yours was stolen, file a police report. Multiple have been filed already. Is there a trend in the area, or just this location? Hotel security is not their responsibility on their property and you park at your own risk. They are not concerned that these thefts happen. I'd stay elsewhere. I didn't leave a wallet or sunglasses to have my vehicle broken into. This is a major theft and the hotel provides no security for their private property? The cameras are show. Our repair is going to be 9k. Management told others later in the morning that no other thefts were brought to their attention, when I brought it to their attention 2 hours prior and asked for video footage. They declined my request. The RCMP already visited the site and requested the same footage. I spoke with who claimed to be the manager over the phone and the official response is " Unsupervised parking lot, park at your own risk, they are not responsible". I asked if they didn't care that their guests were vandalized, and the response was "It is not our responsibility" Stay elsewhere. UPDATE - The hotel response does not address that when I asked the man who claimed he was the manager, stated that you use the parking lot at your own risk, in all aspects. This was also his response after I specifically asked what would have happened if a guest would would have walked upon the theft in action and been assaulted? Does that involve the hotel then? He stated again you use the parking lot at your own risk. That demonstrates the actual level of concern for patron safety, regardless of legal policy or corporate response cards, actions matter. Utilize your good judgement and stay at hotels that value the health and welfare of their patrons and their property. Major vandalism, to multiple guests, on the same evening, 100 ft from the front door isn't a place I'd want my family staying at. Kudos to the RCMP response as it appears it is a larger problem in the area and they took it seriously. Unfortunately they can only enforce the poor laws regarding theft that they are handed.

  Not allergy or fragrance-sensitive friendly Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with asthma, fragrance sensitivities, or significant environmental allergies. Our room was very heavily scented. There appeared to be a fragranced/deodorizing product sprayed throughout the room. I could smell it strongly on the bedding and curtains, in the bathroom, and seemingly in the carpet as well. I began experiencing symptoms from the exposure during our stay. The biggest problem was that there was essentially no way to ventilate the room. The window did not open and the bathroom had no exhaust fan. I brought my own air purifier and ran it continuously, but the fragrance remained very noticeable. I went to the front desk to ask what products housekeeping uses because knowing what I was being exposed to would have been helpful. Unfortunately, the staff were unable to tell me what products were used in the room. One woman at the front desk was genuinely helpful and provided us with clean sheets and pillowcases so I could replace the scented bedding, which I really appreciated. My experience with the other staff member was much less helpful. I understand that many guests enjoy a room that smells “fresh,” but heavily fragrancing a hotel room can make it extremely difficult for guests with asthma and fragrance/chemical sensitivities—especially when there is no way to bring fresh air into the room. I would strongly encourage the hotel to offer fragrance-free rooms or, at minimum, have a procedure for guests to request that no air fresheners, fabric sprays, or scented products be used before their arrival. Staff should also be able to identify the cleaning and deodorizing products used by housekeeping. The hotel itself may be perfectly suitable for many travellers, but if you have asthma or are sensitive to fragrances, I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.
