  Have stayed at this hotel several times now for work. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful especially Niko and Sukh who always go above and beyond. The hotel has a nice pool, hottub, gym and luxury spa it also has the newly opened Baton Rouge restaurant which is excellent. Overall this is easily the best hotel i have stayed at in town and i have tried out a-lot.

  I called the hotel ahead of time to let them know that I would be arriving just 30 minutes before the standard 3 PM check-in time. The front desk person told me over the phone that they would have to charge me an early check-in fee for arriving just 30 minutes early. As loyal IHG Rewards members, we have stayed at several Holiday Inn hotels and have routinely been able to check in as early as 12 PM without being charged an additional fee, depending on availability. I found it absolutely ridiculous that this hotel wanted to charge an early check-in fee for arriving just 30 minutes before the standard check-in time. I didn’t even bother asking how much the fee was because I found the whole approach unreasonable. This is the first time I have come across this kind of predatory behaviour at a Holiday Inn Express, and it is absolutely not in line with what I would expect from IHG or its values. Based on this experience, I would not recommend anyone stay at Holiday Inn Express Grande Prairie, and I certainly will not be staying here again.

  Ground level Doors all listed as emergency access only is confusing. Pool and hot tub out of service, no breakfast included but same usual price

  We had a sink flood in our room. The staff were fantastic about getting us moved quickly to a new suite and gave us ample support and Compensation for our troubles. I think the maintenance man was Lito. I hope he sees this and the management sees this. He was soooo good to help us get out of trouble. The staff were fantastic to relocate my daughter and I to adjoining rooms. On life’s big scale of problems, we had a minor problem. What I am really impressed with is how the maintenance man, the front desk staff and the management pulled together to help us. I cannot say enough good about how professionally managed our stay was. I would come back in a heart beat !!
