This is one of the best hotels in Edmonton. Despite ongoing renovations on the main floor, there was absolutely no noise or disturbances during the stay. Rooms were updated, clean and very comfortable. Great beds and pillows. Having a full kitchen was amazing! Great location, only a short ride away from West Edmonton Mall or downtown.
And 11/10 for customer service! Eden at the front desk was working during both my stays and deserves special recognition. She is kind, professional, welcoming and an absolute gem who goes above and beyond to assist.

We stayed here for 7 days im not going to lie my first impression was I had made a mistake on booking this hotel but once we got past the construction/ renovations, and were greeted by staff things eased up on my booking ..
Rooms would good aside from the bathroom set up .. ( personal preference)
Breakfast was mediocre because maybe a kitchen was really not accessible and they did their best .. to still accommodate breakfast for guests which I can respect.
Unfortunately when we stayed the pool was out for middle of our week stay but can thank them for accommodating for that as well !
Location the hotel is near by lots of things so that was very good
All in all I would come back but I really hope the renovations gives them the better stars they deserve staff were great 👍

The place is under renovations. Smells like drywall everywhere. Mosquitos are terrible. Pool isn't heated. Bathroom door in our suite wouldn't close. TVs are outdated and couldn't even log into our own Netflix. Hot breakfast kinda sucked. Scrambled eggs, egg omlettes, ( eggs and eggs and more eggs) sausage links and dried up hash browns and dried up pre-made waffles. Considering the amount of money we paid per night, I had hoped for better. Calgary Staybridge suites is way better.

I stayed here for a week, at the end of June.
I was in town for a work conference and therefore did not get to choose my hotel or the room.
With that said;
The West Edmonton Staybridge was undergoing renovations during my stay and one of the areas in their overhaul includes the main entrance.
Upon arrival from the airport, it was unclear to my uber driver and myself which entrance to use.
We drove around the entire building twice and I ended up calling the front desk to ask.
This was something I noticed was a not only a problem for me but absolutely everyone else coming in for the rest of the week I was there.
I walked the premises of the hotel nightly and took note of how little signage they had provided and found myself directing food delivery drivers and guest in general to the designated entrance.
Now the actual renovations themselves, were no issue for me personally. It seemed the contractors were showing up around 7am and by the time I returned from my conference a few hotels down the road around 5:30pm… they were already wrapped up for the day.
Because this hotel does allow animals, you will notice a distinct smell upon entering but only in the main hall; I did not smell animals on the 3rd floor.
(Hopefully the renovations include ripping up the old carpet on the main level, I’m sure this would help a lot!)
Room service was lacking.
It seemed they did not actually clean my room the whole week I was there. I was replenished once with toiletries and had to go down to the front desk and ask for more coffee for the room twice even after leaving the empty coffee display front and centre on my dining room table for the ladies to see.
My garages were emptied once.
There is a continental breakfast I did not take part in but they did have fresh hot coffee going every morning by 5-5:30am.
There was also a “Happy Hour” on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday where they had appetizers and offered every guest two free alcoholic drinks. They also offered coffee, tea and juice I think this ran from 6:30-8pm? Don’t quote me! Lol
I did not participate in the happy hour, but that hot coffee was always ready when I came in around 5:30pm every evening!
The front counter staff, particularly Mitch, were super friendly and helpful.
Mitch, if you’re reading this, im sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye! I wish you nothing but happiness and good fortune on your journeys. - your friend, Chelsea from room #308!
