The room was very nice and comfortable. However, the night person, an older gentleman, was very rude to me. I went outside to smoke, and when I came back, the entrance was locked and I didn’t have my key with me. He opened the door for me but spoke to me very rudely and said, “You’re supposed to tap your key fob.” I understand that Medical Referral booked the room for me, but that doesn’t mean I’m not a guest. I felt that his behavior was very disrespectful and rude. In the morning, I told Tahra about what happened. She was very nice and apologized to me on his behalf and said she would definitely report it to management. If she had supported his behavior instead, I would have contacted Medical Referral about the situation.

We stayed here for 4 nights on our way to BC, the hotel was amazing ❤️👍 The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and informative. Always making sure we had everything. I was very happy and impressed with the fact that they provided a laundry facility 👍👍 The breakfast provided was delicious 😋 The rooms were very clean and comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend to stay here!! We didn't want to leave 😢 Thank you !! Lance and Jan Alexander

This place is always our family's choice. Been here since 2020 up to present every time I need to visit Edmonton. It is super clean, good service, good environment. I will keep coming back in this location.

I would like to commend Novie for her exceptional service with us. This was our 2nd time here and I was surprised we have waited for an hour and half for our fully paid room. Our check in time was 3 pm and we came from 3 hour drive, my kids was so tired we just wanted to rest. The first reception had no care at all! after an hour I ask her politely how long should we need to wait its been an hour? She just say I need to call someone then I waited for her after a phonecall she assisted another guest, No care at all! After another half an hour, Still she did not say anything. Then Novie call us and helped us I explained everything to her and she accomodate us right away after few minutes she was able to gave us our room right away. I said what the heck! The other lady move fast but everybody was waiting, I learned that a guest ahead of us waited for an hour too for their room , same thing she said no room yet, I understand a few minutes delayed maybe but for that long time is she serious?. If not for Novie I would have given this service a zero star. So this stars are for Novie her service is best and exceptionally efficient.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Edmonton–Mall Area, and everything about the experience was exceptional. The hotel appears to be fairly new, and both the common areas and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast begins at 6:30 a.m. and offered exactly what I’ve come to expect from a good Holiday Inn Express: several egg and omelet options, breakfast meats, fried potatoes, biscuits, pancakes, and more. The staff throughout my stay were friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Parking was easy, with free spaces available both in front of the hotel and in an underground garage. The location is also convenient—just a few minutes north of the West Edmonton Mall—and there are plenty of nearby dining options. If you enjoy traditional fish and chips or deep‑fried seafood, Lawson’s Fish & Chips is close by and absolutely worth a visit. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Edmonton.
