  My families go-to hotel in Edmonton, always have excellent service even when staff members are busy it's never more than a couple minutes, when issues with the tv or water has occurred they were very helpful and kind, if something isn't able to be fixed always receive partial money back or free parking, never have had any issues with cleanliness only small technical issues that every hotel has (and it's normally not the fault of the staff, don't be a douche to them!) rooms are very comfortable, the pool and hot tub are simple but nice, never out of towels in the pool and good selection in the work out room, overall I would recommend staying here.

  Ok so this hotel was under renovation and a new system. So I’m giving it some slack. Also the staff was great and accommodating. I won’t go into all the details but there were multiple things that went wrong during my stay. The staff was apologetic and fixed it asap. I will say though for my trouble they gave me 2000 points. That’s nice and all but in the scheme of things it’s nothing. I have told the front desk at other location my body was was out and they give me 10,000 points. A free room will usually cost 20 to 30 thousand a night. So 2,000 is nothing. The rooms all have balcony’s with nice views. It was nice sleeping with my screen door open. I’d stay here again. I don’t get the baked beans for breakfast but hey🤷‍♂️🤣 It was a good stay

  The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Having a balcony to sip coffee and watch the sunrise downtown was nice. I had meetings at commerce place and it's a 5min walk from the parking lot. I was blown away with breakfast. Great full spread breakfast, with fresh hot cinnamon buns, beans and pancakes. Will absolutely stay again.

  We booked four confirmed rooms at this hotel for our Board members who were travelling to Edmonton for a business meeting. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. At approximately 4:10 p.m. on the day of arrival, we received automated cancellation emails for all four reservations. At that time, all four guests were travelling and were not in a position to see or act on the emails. They arrived at the hotel at approximately 6:00 p.m., expecting to check in to their confirmed rooms, only to be told that the reservations had been cancelled. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of communication and assistance. There had been no meaningful advance contact with the guests, and the front desk did not provide an adequate explanation or reasonable assistance in dealing with the situation. No compensation or meaningful resolution was offered. We hope management takes this seriously and reviews how this situation was handled. This was a very disappointing experience

  To the Holiday Inn Express Edmonton Downtown management team, Our company booked a room for me for September 23, and we received confirmation that your hotel was expecting me. I arrived at approximately 6:20 p.m. to be told that my reservation had been cancelled because the hotel was overbooked. The cancellation email was sent at 6:15 p.m.—five minutes before I arrived. I had travelled to Edmonton with a confirmed reservation, only to find that I had no room. The front desk’s response was that I had been emailed and should look for another hotel down the street. That is an appalling way to treat a guest. An email sent five minutes before arrival does not solve the problem your hotel created. At the very least, I expected your staff to arrange a comparable room and take responsibility for the inconvenience. Losing one guest may seem insignificant. Our organization books almost 12,000 hotel room nights a year. I have already instructed our booking team to remove this property from our options and advised them that we are not to book IHG properties going forward. This particular hotel may not have received much of our business, but your handling of one confirmed reservation has put the broader IHG group out of consideration.
