We were super excited the hotel was pet friendly and we were able to bring our cat. We stayed in one of their “pet friendly” rooms however we soon discovered it wasn’t that pet friendly. The one bed had a massive hole underneath, which my cat was able to get in and under the bed. We had to lift the whole bed to be able to get our cat out. We proceeded to shove pillows so he wouldn’t be able to get back in the bed. I brought it up to of the employees and he didn’t show much concern and blamed it on them changed the mattresses every month?! You would think they would notice the hole then and fix it in the pet friendly room. So if your planning on bringing a cat or small dog, please check the room!

This hotel has a dishonest receptionist because on Saturday I was looking a room at the last minute and the only this hotel had available and when I talked to one of the girl on the phone she told me it would be $200 plus tax but when I show up to take the room one guy came and said ‘ let me see’ .I don’t know what he did behind the scene then he said it show $350 plus tax ,even that girl talked to me on the phone was there and told him as she told me when we were on the phone$200 , I and my lady really need a place to sleep after a long drive from Calgary to Jasper then to Edmonton and very tied , if on the phone she told me 300+ I still want it !Of course I did not take it because I fell he was dishonest person and tried to rip off !

The initial room we were checked into had a completely soaked floor which was a mold hazard. We went to the front desk to request to be moved to a new room but our request was refused despite our room being a biohazard. Their reasoning was that they didn't have any rooms of equivalence, and they did not want to upgrade us to a room that was actually safe to sleep in for even one night. No refund or compensation was offered for that night we were forced to stay in the soaked room either. We were finally able to force them to give us a new room the next day but we had to push them very hard for it. Also despite the strict no smoking policy they advertise nearly the entire hotel, at least every floor of rooms, smelled like people had been smoking weed there constantly and no attempts were being made to fix it. There were also multiple other places in the hotel where water was leaking from the ceiling including the lobby and multiple hallways. Housekeeping was also quite lacking, they never cleaned the bathroom beyond replacing the towels and our body wash and hand soap was never refilled despite us notifying the front desk that we were out multiple times. Finally many aspects of the rooms barely functioned, the fan in the bathroom did almost nothing to prevent the bathroom from being filled with steam and the provided irons never got hot enough to work. Many outlets were also extremely loose and items would unplug themselves if they were not held in place the entire time. I would not recommend this hotel for any stays over a night or two

Worst stay every. Would rate Zero stars but not a option. AC didn't work for the 5 nights we stayed here. The windows didn't have a screen so we couldn't even open the window at night to left cold air in and the window lock was damaged. Just got the run around from the manager. At one point she told me my A/C did work. However it was a constant 25 in the room. It 30+ outside the entire stay. The hotel night staff first said we would be compensated, then we were told that since we already had a medical rate (as I was there for two medical appointments) we wouldn't get any discounts for the A/C not working. I then contacted best western corporate office. After another run around the manager gave us a $20 a night discount and again told me she didn't understand the issue as our A/C did work. Which 100% it did not. On the last night we ran into the maintenance guy and he told us that he was never told about our issues. When we were told he was and there was nothing that could be done. The maintenance man also said he had a screen for our room in the basement but would take awhile to find. With it being the last night in this horrible hotel we told him it was OK. The bathroom ceiling also had major water damage. Front desk also lies to customers as they told another family member who checked in that every A/C unit in the building worked. Which there room actually had A/C. They did offer to move us to a room that would not fit our family and then yelled at me for having 2 adults, two kids and a baby in one room. Saying they didn't know and it was against the law. The manager said that if there was a fire the fire department would give me a fine. We all were at the front desk when we checked in and the lady who checked us in was 100% aware. I advised the manager that maybe she needs proper training for her employees if this is not allowed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the hassle and extremely poor customer service. We thought we would give this hotel a chance even though it had poor reviews as it had a family room. WORST MISTAKE. read the reviews and RUN.

We did not enjoy our stay there a few days ago. It's by far the worst 3 star hotel we stayed at. We regret ignoring the negative reviews we read, afterall, it's supposed to be a 3 star hotel. Nevermind making any requests, because they would ignore. The main elevator was filthy and a bit stinky. The hallway heading to our room was stinky, it is hard to describe the smell as it prolly is a combination of stuff. The room's dated with peeling wall paper, looked clean, but it was also smelly. The beds were creeking, one was even sagging in the middle. The next day, the whole family got sick. Yes, we do believe it is from the smell. Thankfully, the children recovered from it after a day. My husband and i however suffered longer. Their breakfast is comparable to a 2 star or less. Nothing exceptional about it. You will be eating in paper plates, and you cutleries are wooden forks and knives. Some 2 stars and motels we've been to, had better atmosphere and breakfast, even provide better plates and silverware. Other 3 stars, like another we stayed at before this, even have servers. Sadly, there is nothing good to say about Best Western Cedar Park Inn of Edmonton, as this is the 2nd worst accomodation i have had. There will be no returning here for us. I will still try other Best Western Hotels. Hopefully we would not be let down again. Finally, you would definitely not want to ignore the negative comments on here.
