Originally booked for two nights, decided to arrive a night early. This messed the checkout on their system. Cleaning lady came to our room and threatened my 11 yr old child that we were being charged a late checkout fee and need to go to the front desk and see the manager. The manager then told me that it was noticed I had a pet in the room and would be charged a pet fee. He then found the form I had already signed regarding the pet fee. Rooms are small and loud, horrible breakfasts. Save your money and skip the town.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and had an amazing time! We arrived quite early to check in but there was an unfortunate issue with our booking that was outside of the hotel's control. Leon G (the manager maybe?) went above and beyond to help us out of a bad situation! He found us an absolutely perfect solution to our problem and got us checked into rooms that worked great for our family dynamic! all while telling jokes and performing magic tricks for our daughters which they're still talking about today!! Bonnie at the front desk was also fantastic and had such positive energy! The overall mood of the workers was so fun to see, everyone seemed to enjoy working with one another and it showed. The pool was great and the slide was a hit with the kids, seeing who could make the biggest splash! Breakfast was also very good, hot food options as well as all the usual items. Reading previous reviews it seems this hotel went through a stint of short staffing issues but from what we saw it seems to be much better now. Zero complaints about the hotel and the staff absolutely made our trip! I will be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Drumheller and will absolutely be back again! 5 Stars

This isn't a very good representative for the hospitality industry or best western. This city is teeming with tourists so you'd think that they would at least know enough to call guests guests instead of customers. Housekeeping was a sorry, almost non existent joke andalso the reason I'd never stay here again. The breakfast was also disappointing. At check in, the clerk told us that they had "so much gluten free options".... it's very clear that she does not know what gluten free means because there was almost nothing made of and since nobody was keeping anything clean, every single thing in that tiny room had been smeared with cross contamination. I wouldn't even trust the juice. It's Best Western too cheap to even have yogurt cups? They had a liquid yogurt dispenser, just like a juice or water dispenser. Gross! You guys should check out Holiday Inn's breakfast because you have nowhere to go but up from where you are and theirs is very clean and very good. In the week we stayed, our room was never vacuumed, coffee never replaced and making the beds was just weird. They were very lazy. A maid came once and vacuumed a 4sqft area and then left. I'm order to even get that, I had to call down 4 or 5 times for her to come. We had three beds and they only made up one per day and left the other two- lazy or weird, i can't tell. They didn't replace all of the garbages, refill soap or coffee. The last night we had someone come up after calling down and the phone ringing for a few minutes before the front desk answered it.... she vacuumed the room and brought the missing supplies and apologized for the lack of cleanliness. She also told us that if we'd gotten the other girl she wouldn't have even brought the vacuum when we called. I suppose this explains the first day where we had to call several times before anyone came and she did a very poor job. It's nice that the room was very big but really not acceptable what housekeeping is doing. They are running the whole hotel down by not maintaining any standards and Best Western really needs to investigate this. We would've stayed here again next year but for almost $300/night this year and prices raised by $100/ night for next year I expect much better hospitality than what we received. There are lots of other hotels, bnb's and short term rentals in this city, find yourself something other than this dump.

Dingy, scuffed interiors. Squealing mini fridge - that I had wanted to keep running but it made it hard for us to sleep. Beds you can feel the springs in. For the price I was really disappointed, as it's pretty on par price-wise with Ramada, which we remember last year being quite nice. Unfortunately by the time we saw the room it was too late to cancel and book somewhere else. I was glad there was a mini fridge and microwave. The kids enjoyed the pool, though the main pool was pretty chilly, and the hot tub was just warm. It's near a lot of restaurants and retail, McDonald's is just next door. There is a breakfast included and a fitness centre.

Decent hotel. We stayed with two small children over the last few days. We asked for our room to be cleaned a few times and were told that they were short staffed and then that they only clean rooms every three days ever since Covid. Seems like an odd policy. Breakfast is just ok. Not a lot of selection if you have food allergies which our family does. Staff was not familiar with ingredient list for breakfast meatballs. Staff printed off the product description from Sysco but there were no ingredients listed. The pool is nice and has a fun slide with little kids. The gym is lacking in equipment. Location is great for getting to local attractions. Staff are nice but the excuses about not cleaning or turning the room over were odd. I also asked to use a freezer for our cooler packs overnight before we left and they said they didn’t have a freezer…? I wonder where they stored the frozen berries served at breakfast.
