- MGMe Gib71 day ago5.0In the US, Best Western hotels are hit or miss. I only booked here because it was the only thing available in my price range within walking distance of the Stampede- 1 mile. I booked directly through the website. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very inviting and our room was nice. Both were also very clean - our top priority. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is downtown so the was traffic noise but no sirens or honking cars. Just a few loud engines from NASCAR wannabes.

- JKJ. K.Jun 3, 20261.0I checked in at around 9:00 PM on May 28 and checked out on May 29. I had a very unpleasant experience during check-in at Best Western Plus Suites Downtown. There were other guests checking in ahead of me, and I saw the front desk staff speaking with them normally and giving each of them a bottle of water after check-in. I do not know whether the water was complimentary, but it was clearly being offered to guests. When it was my turn, I was only asked for my ID and handed my room key without any other explanation or conversation. I had to ask why I was not given water like the other guests. The staff member then went to the back, brought out one bottle of water, and placed it on the counter without saying anything. It made me feel very uncomfortable and offended. I could not help wondering whether they assumed I could not speak English, whether they were treating guests differently, or whether this was discrimination. I have stayed at Best Western many times before, but this was the first time I left with such a bad impression. Unless I have no other option, I do not think I will stay at this property again.
