What a terrible and deceptive booking experience.
We called the number listed for Holiday Inn specifically to book directly, expecting honest pricing and flexibility. Instead, we were connected to a very slick and dishonest sales rep (“Enzo”) who quoted $650/night. When we pointed out that Expedia had the same room for $450, he suddenly offered to “match” that rate.
We proceeded based on that representation only to receive a confirmation showing the first night at ~$450 and the remaining nights at nearly $800/night. This was never disclosed and feels like a complete bait-and-switch.
To make matters worse, when we got our confirmation, we called back within 30 minutes to cancel due to the discrepancy and were told the booking was non-refundable despite clearly stating upfront that we needed flexibility due to potential health issues (this was for a senior).
This was misleading, high-pressure, and deeply disappointing. Be very careful calling their reservation line, this did not feel like dealing directly with the hotel at all. We spent 45 minutes on the phone disputing the charges and they told us there was nothing they could possibly do to help. Enzo disappeared conveniently.
We are now disputing the charge with our credit card company. What a scam! Stay away from this hotel.

Was down for a medical appointment at VGH. Stayed there previously and was great. It was great this time but just be warned , they have parking but it's charged to your room $25/day and we were told no charge as your guests.

On medical? Stay here! If I could rate the service and staff higher I would! Everyone was so kind and helpful, after surgery they made sure I was comfortable. It’s a good location close to everything you’d need. The only mistake I made was waiting until the last day to do their breakfast buffet, great selection: French toast, eggs, home fries, two kinds of sausages, bacon, tons of delicious fruit, pastries, breads, muffins, juices and a lot more. Everything was delicious and fulfilling. Will be staying here again for sure.

I had a very disappointing stay due to a constant, high-pitched background noise in the room. It was a combination of a loud humming from the fridge, a bathroom extractor fan that couldn't be turned off, and the ice machine located right outside my door. To make matters worse, I could hear the elevator running all night. The overlapping sounds were so persistent they gave me a massive headache. If you value a quiet night's sleep, I would not recommend staying here.

The room is ok, service and location near bus stops, however, the pool schedule is not respected, it was suposed to be open since 5.30 and do their mantenance before that; at 9.20 it was under maintenance alleging it will be ready by 12.... They did an extra effort and let it ready by 10.30 and let us leave until 12, so we could enjoy.
