However, prior to my booking, I had contacted the hotel directly and asked if they if they allowed service animals, especially emotional support animals. Which I was told they did when I arrived at the hotel they told me they didn't and refuse entry. In addition, they said they would accept my dog. If I paid an additional $250 per night in order for us to stay there. This was at midnight. Needless to say, we were upset and they questioned the validity of whether or not I had called. I certainly would not have made a booking without verifying that they accepted these types of animals. Needless to say, we found another hotel stayed at the Grandville hotel which is terrific and accommodated us a 100%. As a Holiday Inn. I would have expected a lot better service and a little bit more accommodation. Very disappointed I would not recommend anybody who has a service animal to go stay there. Of note, the manager I was on duty was very dismissive, and did not believe that we had called ahead even though I gave him a date of October 26 is when I called to verify Before booking with booking dot com.
