  Overall, this was a solid and affordable option for a three-night stay in Vancouver. Public transit was needed, but it was manageable, and early check-in was a nice bonus. Traveling with a dog was easy, with a pet fee of CAD 20 per night. The location was a highlight—close to English Bay Beach and Stanley Park, and surrounded by many restaurants, which made grabbing food very convenient.

  As someone who values connecting with people, I must highlight my interaction with Conrad at the front desk. During our conversation, I learned of his Filipino heritage and grab the opportunity to ask for advice regarding a new personal connection I have in the Philippines. Conrad was incredibly gracious and patient, walking me through cultural 'do’s and don’ts' with genuine enthusiasm. It is rare to find service that is both so professional and personable. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

  I had the best stay at Best Western Sands Plus Hotel! I was supposed to be with my sister for a Holiday vacation but she had an urgent work matter. But since we're already booked for 3days in this Hotel, I somehow decided to go on solo-trip and It was way better than I imagined. I to met few great people. The staff are friendly especially Conrad at the front desk for doing his best considering I have a lot of requests. He managed to changed my room since I will be alone, also other requests (room service, asking for new blanket and towel, asking for places to go to). The location of this hotel is great! And I will definitely be back here again. Great service!

  We stayed at the Best Western Plus Sands on Davie Street during a trip to Vancouver to take our son to see the Harlem Globetrotters, and we had a great experience. Given that the building is an older structure, the hotel is very well kept and clean, which we really appreciated. The highlight of our stay was the gentleman at the front desk (unfortunately we didn’t catch his name). He was beyond helpful—friendly, welcoming, and even took the time to come outside with us to personally show us where the parking was. That level of service really stood out and made our arrival stress-free. The location is excellent and literally steps away from the shoreline, which was absolutely beautiful and a lovely bonus to our stay. It was perfect for morning walks and soaking in the Vancouver scenery. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver
