  Rooms are smaller than ideal but great service overall. Shuttle service, gym, pool and other recreational facilities at no extra cost. Highly recommended!

  As a Platinum member who frequently stays with IHG, I was disappointed by the lack of assistance I received when I called to resolve this. I believe I had canceled the reservation in question; however, the fee was applied regardless. Despite my loyalty and a clean record with no previous no-show fees, my request to have the charge reversed was met with multiple transfers and no resolution.

  I've stayed here for the last 2 years. I've mentioned to the GM - Farah my concerns. She gave the usual corporate response of thanking me for the feedback and promising to look into it. Obviously, she never did. I'm a Platinum Elite + Ambassador member. That doesn't really matter BTW because they don't care. They're supposed to acknowledge you being a member of IHG at check-in, they never have with me. The GM will once again say in response to this review that she has attempted to talk to me, SHE NEVER has. And I cannot reach her either. I recently stayed at another IHG property in Alberta and it was the same experience. I think there is a huge cultural shift happening at IHG. They no longer prioritize service. They're becoming a Comfort Inn or a Motel 6 or a Days Inn. You might even have a better experience staying at those properties. It really makes me sad because growing up, my dad would only stay at Holiday Inns all around the world. I looked up to the company. It's sad to see its quality dwindling. I emailed the Ambassador contact and other key contacts in the region - NOTHING. That alone tells me there is no longer an interest in service quality. And I echo what the other reviewers here have said - old, dilapidated rooms, thin walls, poorly insulated windows. You can hear people's cars outside and people shouting. The only saving grace is that their breakfast buffet is good, and it has to be, it's served by Filipinos. GL with what you decide to do with your bookings!

  We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn at the Riverport location. Dinusha and Farooq at the reception were professional, courteous and thoughtful. When we mentioned we were celebrating our grandchild's birthday, they went above and beyond by upgrading our reservation and delivered a birthday gift and hand written card to our room. The hotel itself is very clean. We have stayed at other Holiday inn locations before and have received consistent friendly and professional service but this experience really stood out. Thank you Dinusha and Farooq for making our stay special, we really appreciate the extra care and effort.

  This hotel is a good option if you are looking for a no-frills place to stay in a reasonable area. The breakfast is just OK, the rooms (at least ours) were quite outdated and definitely starting to show their age and need for renovation. The location is great if you have a car, not so much if you don't. The pool opened late and closed early on several occasions during our 4 night stay. The staff were reasonably friendly but attempted to deny our use of the airport shuttle since it was not during check in or check out (extenuating circumstances to pick up a new rental car). They are also very particular about access to the breakfast area. Ultimately, I would probably not stay there again but the hotel is perfectly serviceable. Biggest issue was just the overall dated look of the rooms and generally questionable staff hospitality.
