    This was a very enjoyable ble stay during the Potlatch. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with maid service every day. Very quiet at night. Choice of Sports Lounge or Cafe. Both were excellent. My only disappointment was that both venues were closed on Sunday night for dinner. 😥

    The Barclay is the nicest chain hotel in Port Alberni. The building is generally in good condition, albeit showing its age a little. The rooms are nice - look to have been renovated maybe 10 years ago? They have been well maintained. The bed and pillow were comfortable and to my liking. The curtains are black out so sleeping in isn't a problem. Bathrooms are fine - no complaints (other than the tub drain being plugged). Didn't try the pool or hot tub. The fitness center was better than expected - a good number of pieces of equipment, along with some dumbbells. Front desk staff was friendly. Daily room service was good, towels were changed every other day. The nightly price for the Barclay is higher than others in town, but you get what you pay for.

    Great hotel. Great staff. Good resturant. No Microwave in the rooms but coffee and a microwave for use in the lobby.
