  If I were Holiday Inn, I would disown the facility. They are currently renovating the building and supposed to be complete before the summer, but it's months from that. The hallways have buckets in the middle of the hall to collect the water from the ceiling. The location is amazing though. Right on the beach of the lake which is just awesome. Just sad that this building is so gross.

  We recently stayed there at the beginning of Feb and had the worst experience we ever had at a hotel. At 6pm we were advised our room was not cleaned yet and would be ready shortly, at 9pm we were given the key card to a room that had not been serviced. At this time we could not go anywhere else, so reception staff came up to change the bedding and clean the bathroom themselves. We spoke to the manager who advised us in the morning to contact our booking agent for a full refund. It has now been 2 months of our booking agent reaching out to them providing us with regular updates that they have not heard anything back from the property. We are extremely disappointed from the whole experience especially multiple false attempts to make things right where nothing has been followed through.

  Edit to update: since I can't respond to their reply. I've repeatedly called the hotel and left my contact details. Multiple times I was promised a follow up. Your response is a generic attempt to save face and not authentic. Give me a call, I'd love to chat. Spent a long weekend here for a hockey tournament and will never do it again. From unauthorized charges they can't explain (still waiting for my money back) mouse traps and poop, renovations not being completed and screws all over the place, we felt that they did nothing to fix a single issue but offer excuses after excuses. I've called multiple times and despite being promised a follow up from management, still have not heard back. A terrible experience for many of the families on our hockey team.

  Here for a hockey tournament, with 4 other teams in attendance. The rooms were clean, spacious and all had beautiful views of either the lake or beach. There is a lovely walking path by the lake just across the street, and the restaurants are close by east or west. Considering how many teams were staying here, the staff kept their cool and were accommodating to all of their guests. I would suggest trying to keep all teams together on one floor so that the other guests staying here don’t get as affected by the extra noise. The indoor pool was great. The gym needs a bit of an update, but does the job. The breakfast/ buffet area is under renovation. The common rooms need a bit of updating, but was great to use when available. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and accommodating! Would love to return with our family in the summer.

  Stayed overnight on a Saturday. Room had no garbage cans, not in the bathroom or main room and when I told the manager at checkout he shrugged. Also, had noise issues with obnoxious drunk hockey parents partying in the banquet room down the hall from us, as well as kids playing stick hockey (with nets) right in front of our door, from 6pm-10:45pm. The front deck did try, and eventually did get the hallway quiet but not until 10:45-11pm. My kids had a hard time going to sleep with the partying and loudness.
