Dont bother staying here, bad service. Showed up on Valentine's Day for our reserved room, only to be told that they have no record of one. She says maybe she's spelling my name wrong, and asks for my I.D. she checks again and still nothing. She then starts arguing with me and saying i must be mistaken, maybe I rented a room at the pit meadows location. I told her we've been coming here for years and I had spoke with her this morning to see if we could change our room to a pet friendly room. She then argued that and said , no , you didn't , because if you had you would have spoke with me and I said , I did speak with you. I then asked if she could search under my visa number, so she did. She still says nothing. And as i'm trying to speak to her again , she wouldn't listen and just talked over me and said , when did you book the room and I said , a couple days ago. During Her talking over me , she accused me of being disrespectful as she was the one that wouldn't listen and my boyfriend said no she is not being disrespectful. I said I have a confirmation number at home but I didn't think I would need it, and she still didn't seem to believe me. So I said, if I go home and call it in.Can we get a free room on another date, and she said okay, and was very unsympathetic. So now that we're all disappointed in stressed out , she says , actually we do have one room, but the air conditioning is stuck on, and there's no heat, but we do have a portable heater, with a bit of relief that we didn't pack for this special occasion, she asked if we would like to go check it out. We got to the room and began settling in, getting changed for the pool, using the washroom, and not even ten minutes later , she's knocking on our door. She says, I thought you were only checking the room out.If you're staying , you have to come pay now. We said we were going to come pay on our way to the pool because it was right next to it. So we immediately went back to the front desk to pay. I give her my bank card, and she asks me for my I d. I said I left it in the room. Can I bring it when we go to the pool? She says no. My boyfriend had brought his whole wallet and said that he had and she said, no sorry II need her.I d cause she's paying. It seemed like she was trying to inconvenience us.Even more so. So my boyfriend says , well , I'll just pay then. So I hand him my bank card.He gives her his I d and we paid with my card anyway. Also, she didn't even have the courtesy to bring a heater. In case we did plan on staying when she made that trip to our room. She had originally told us she would give us a discount if we did take the room. And all she took off was twenty dollars on a more expensive room , as we didn't ask for a kitchenette. We asked to speak to the manager and she said he will be in tomorrow. The next morning, we left very early. And in the afternoon , I called to speak to the manager, and she was the one that answered, and hung up on me. I tried calling two other times and no answer. We've been staying at this hotel for years on special occasions, and now we have to just not recommend it to anyone, don't waste your time.I've had to waste time writing this review as well.
All in all , it was the most stressful experience, they don't care to get my confirmation number so they can figure out what went wrong. And she charged us for the most expensive room, and I can't even find that same price, even if I book on Easter weekend. We paid $170, and the same room is going for $160 right now.
The room itself was nice and updated, but unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. The bed made a loud creaking noise every time you got in or out, which made it hard to sleep. When we took the kids to the pool, there was a homeless man using the pool shower to clean himself and change clothes, with all of his bags brought into the pool area. This made our family very uncomfortable.
We also attempted to do laundry using the hotel’s single washer and dryer. After over an hour in the dryer, our clothes were still wet and smelled strongly of dog urine. When I reported this to staff, the gentleman at the front desk could not speak or understand English, and even if he did understand, he showed no concern or willingness to help. Overall, poor management and lack of basic cleanliness and guest safety ruined what could have been a decent stay.
Very disappointed and would not recommend this Hotel for families.

"I cannot say enough good things about the Best Western Plus Maple Ridge!
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine West Coast hospitality. The front desk staff is incredibly professional, welcoming, and always goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need.
The rooms are spotless, modern, and the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. You can tell the management takes great pride in maintaining the property. Plus, the amenities (the pool and the breakfast!) are fantastic and make the stay feel like a true getaway.
Beyond the hotel itself, they are a massive pillar of the Maple Ridge community, consistently stepping up to support local organizations and events. It’s rare to find a business that offers both world-class service and a heart for its community.
Whether you’re visiting from out of town or a local needing a staycation, this is the only place to stay in Maple Ridge. Highly recommended!"
