I'm reviewing 7 months later, but this hotel was very much fitting with the city it was located in, pretty dirty.
The public pool, worser than some of the lakes here at home in Ontario, when asked about the cleaning, and water testing. All the response we got was "The pool is up-to-date, with it's cleaning schedule" but by the looks of it, yeah. It hasn't. When we asked to test the water ourselves we were denied to. Despite us having a pool ourselves, and we know how to clean and keep our pool healthy.
The rooms, are very gnarly, our view was the greatest of them all, a road, and I mean don't want to be to picky about that, there's far more worse things, the sheets we got we're wet, don't want to know at all what liquid it was, and that loud air conditioner that was placed right next to the bed, hows anyone even going to get a good sleep with that, counting that we also had a 2 hour drive to Whistler the day after our visit.
We picked this hotel, because we thought it looked pristine, and cozy, with the architectural design of the front, but I guess we all learned a lesson to not stay at Best Westerns from now on.

Made a reservation over the phone a couple days prior to arrival. Called the day I was a arriving and added my girlfriend to the list so she could check in before I landed. When she got there in the afternoon she was told there were no notes and she couldn't check in. When I landed I called and the manager said he would look into it. When he called me back said there were not rooms and couldn't take us. Expedia showed rooms available so ended up booking one under the girlfriends name but when we got there he said the same thing and that he would cancel the reservation when it came in. Just got off the phone with Expedia after making sure it was cancelled. They called the best Western and the day manager said we were marked as no shows because we didn't show up and there were rooms available. After calling the best Western ourselves to figure this out and gave the day manager the details she just said "I don't know what to tell you". I don't recommend this place. Poor customer service.

Very solid place, rooms are modern and well kept, staff was friendly, very good in terms of location if you’re a tourist or staying for a short period of time in Kamloops. Only reason this isn’t a five star is because there wasn’t anything that went far and beyond expectations during my experience.
I travel a lot for work and spend a minimum of a week each month in Kamloops. Because of this, I wanted to ensure I was staying in the best valued hotel for my nights away from home. I spent 6 months trying new hotels each time I came to town and ended up settling on the Best Western Premier.
My decision was based on these basic principles.
1. Bedside USB charging ports and extra electrical outlines on each side of the bed.
2. Clean and tidy room for value.
3. Full blackout roll down blinds.
4. Comfortable Pillows
5. Water bottle in fridge for all guests.
6. Video casting to tv.
7. Good shower pressure.
8. Quick climate control.
9. Never hear the neighbours.
10. Friendly and helpful staff.
11. Membership points that don’t expire.
12. Tasty restaurant attached.
A few minor negatives
1. Hot tub is usually not hot but family friendly warm.
2. Restaurant doesn’t open early for early morning workers (8am)
3. View lacks a postcard home. Either a valley view with two beautiful gas stations in the forefront or a street off the back.
4. Parking lot can be tight when busy with guests and restaurant customers. However, most hotels in the area have limited parking, especially if you are showing up later in the evening.
A few little extra perks.
Lots of restaurants within walking distance (Pub, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Coras Breakfast, Starbucks, Tim Hortons), and liquor store.
I have stayed in this hotel roughly 40
nights this past year, so I can say with certainty, If you’re looking for a comfortable stay where value equals money then this is definitely a great option.
