Our room was a 2 queen Room smelled musty No work desk, no USB charging ports Toilet was small and very low Hotel is split between 2 buildings; had to walk across parking lot to building with gym and pool Free breakfast had only 3 (prepared hot food) options and coffee was bad. No luggage cart at building our room was in (after check in). Had to wait for staff to bring cart from other building. Staff props open exit food in breakfast area; it’s quite cold in dining room.

I recently came from New Brunswick and stayed at the Best Western in Abbotsford while exploring Vancouver and handling some business with my family. The first hotel we tried nearby was the Ramada, but there were several homeless people at the entrance, which felt unsafe. After seeing that, I checked reviews and switched to the Best Western. I was really impressed by how safe it felt there. Security was actively patrolling the area with their flashing lights, there were no homeless people around, and everything felt secure. The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the staff was excellent. Highly recommended, and a big thanks to the security team for keeping us safe.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff overall was very helpful. When I had an issue with loud noise from kids running upstairs late at night, a tall, strong-built security officer responded quickly. He handled it professionally and calmed the situation so we could all sleep peacefully. Even though I didn’t catch his name, he made a big difference. Five-star security and service. Highly recommend .

Unfortunate that other guests above my room would not stop running and slamming past 9:30pm at night when I am trying to sleep. You would think that the parents would be considerate but apparently not. Will have to stay at a Hotel outside of the normal family budget next time 🤷‍♂️ to avoid this from happening.

The main hotel building might be different. I stayed in the building attached to the Ricky's restaurant. The staff during my staff (when I choose to deal with them) were great... The room was lit up all night by the lights in the court yard, the walls must be thinner than normal buildings as I could hear everyone that had a chat / moved through the halls like they were right beside me. Now the kicker....I don't like to be disturbed....and left the "privacy please' sign on my door. After two days they left me a letter telling me them coming into my room was MANDATORY and to contact the front desk if I had questions....I left for the morning so took the sign off. When I got back (day 3 of my 8 day stay) they had been on the room...did not clean the bathroom or sink area outside it....left no face clothes, hung up two new towles and left the room....no cleaning happened at all.....then they simple "made" the bed I had already made.... I paid good money to not be checked on like a criminal or child.....let alone not being told of this "mandatory" room check... I've never experienced this in any stay at a Best Western. As normal...this location didn't do what is needed to get me the credit towards the nights stayed (points) or the 50$ gift card offer after 3 nights stay. This seems to be an issue with other hotels as well...Calgary and Stony Plain locations have failed to make this offer happen as well...and now I need to sit on the phone to correct it...what? I may stop using Best Western when I travel.....if they can't even get reward offers and points right.. or is someone keeping the gift cards????
