The room was clean. When we went to breakfast there was no hot food. So we ate cold cereal and yogurt and coffee. We were very disappointed.

Would stay here again and will recommend it all Stayed December 27th - January 2nd, 2025. We arrived around 9pm on the 27th and there was about 4 other people in line at the desk to check in, but no one at the desk to do so. Maybe 15 minutes later a lone employee came to the desk to get us all checked in. One traveler complained that his room hadn't been cleaned yet. She apologized and very nicely told him she was there alone, and she would get to it as soon as she could. I don't know if he was already a guest and needed some clean sheets, trash removed or towels so I don't want to judge clean rooms from his statement. Our room was very clean. We stayed in Room 117. They had 4 luggage carts and by the time everyone was checked in a cart had been returned so we didn't have to make several trips to the car to unpack. I was concerned that being right by the front desk and the breakfast area not to mention the parking lot that we would be disturbed, but never heard people, cars or noise. In unpacking we did discover that a previous guest had stuck paper plates and packaged muffins from the breakfast area in a drawer that wasn't discovered by housekeeping, but in the grand scheme of things not a big deal. We know how to throw things out. The bed is firmer than we are used to, but those pillows are so soft. The only time we were disturbed was the 2nd morning when our upstairs neighbor's child/children were running around above us waking us up early. They were gone that day, so it went quiet for the rest of our stay. We were only about 1/2 a mile or less to everything in town we wanted to see and do. Never came back late at night to no parking available. Breakfast was great. Two types of omelets - cheese or veggie. Turkey sausage, which isn't bad by the way and either link sausage or bacon. Biscuits, pepper gravy, pancakes, pastries, bagels, bread. Coffee, tea, milk, 3 kinds of juice, fruit, oatmeal. No matter how late you got to breakfast you had all the choices. Ok, here's my complaint and it's all hotels, all the names not just this one. We were there for 6 nights and 2 adults. We received 2 hand towels, 3 wash cloths and 3 body towels. I went to the front desk twice to get more towels and wash cloths. Never a problem, never felt like I was being a problem when I asked. So hotels everywhere, please consider the length of stay a guest will be in a room and double the towel supply. Not everyone gets a respectful desk clerk. This hotel didn't have a Do Not Disturb tag for our door, but a tag that told me I could earn more points if I didn't use housekeeping service during my stay. That was ok with me, so left that side of the tag facing out. Once you hang the tag that way and maybe you'd like the trash emptied or towels stocked and you take the tag off. Housekeeping still will not provide services. My traveling partner simply took our trash and emptied it in the larger trash cans by the ice machine. The pool and hot tub were closed due to renovations or repairs, but it was clearly marked on the website so I had warning and appreciated that they made it clear on the website and at the hotel. I would stay here again and would recommend it very much. The care and comfort I received had an affect on how I felt about the town as well. I was fed well and slept well in a clean quiet environment. I would stay here again

My familiar Holiday Inn Express iconic breakfast which contains my favorite combination of biscuits and gravy. The room was clean but they were definitely understaffed.

We checked in after 4pm, room was not ready. Bathroom supplies, towels were out, called front desk staff to give us more supply. He told us they don’t have staff to bring them to our room, we need to come down to front desk to get them for ourselves. Very bad attitude, horrible, and deserved O star for customer service.

Last minute booking. Location is great for Grand Canyon and the surrounding local spots. Short staffed at check in, no manager present. Sign at the front stated no pool or hot tube until further notice. Which would have been good to know ahead of time on their website! The room was dirty upon arrival. Toilet seat had pee on it, the counter tops in the rooms were visibly dirty, the head boards in both queen beds were peeling and falling apart. Tried to switch rooms but there were no clean rooms available. Someone did come in to re clean the bathroom toilet after about an hour from informing them of the conditions. During the early morning of the following day around 4/5am the power shut off in the hotel. No one came to inform us no one said what happened if it was a localized incident or it affected the whole area. No breakfast available. While taking our bags out, my daughter was almost hit by a dirty towel being tossed out by house keeping from one of the rooms. On check out the person at the front desk said there was no type of refund since the power outage was a natural disaster. Awful experience!would never stay here again!
