Excellent location near Grand Canyon — and with limited options, we came in with lower expectations.
Our room was in the 2000s building—very worn and old building. Our sink faucet leaked the entire time and was wobbly. Not ideal to be wasting water in a desert like that. Also very poor noise insulation— at 8:45pm, a fire alarm in a room on the floor below and at the other end of the building went off and could be heard throughout the entire building. It took over 20 minutes for a staff member to address the issue. What if there was a fire?!
Did not live up to Holiday Inn standards unfortunately and not worth the price. There are cheaper options in Tusayan for same quality we received.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Its location is unbeatable, especially because of its proximity to the South Entrance of the Grand Canyon, which made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, especially the bed—I slept really well. The hotel also has a restaurant, and the food was quite good.
In the evenings, they light a fire pit and offer marshmallows, which creates a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere. There are also restaurants and shops nearby, making everything very accessible.
I highly recommend this hotel. My stay was very pleasant, and the staff was very attentive and friendly.

We had a mostly good experience here! The room was nice. Breakfast was good. My kids enjoyed the arcade, the pool, and the smores.
Before leaving, I had my kids look for anything they might have dropped under the beds… my 3 year old found a pill under the night stand. Thankfully she handed it to us! It appeared to be a Tylenol but wasn’t labeled… it definitely wasn’t ours but regardless… that could have been very bad if she had swallowed it. She didn’t though and I will now be checking for that sort of thing anywhere we stay!
Then as we were leaving, we approached the elevator with our luggage and a maintenance man was there. He didn’t speak the best English but was pointing at the side of the elevator. I had no idea what he was saying. It was a little chaotic trying to get all of our luggage and the kids on the elevator before the door closed. Then again, trying to get us all out. Not until later did we notice the paint on our luggage, backpack and my shoulder and hair. I initially felt bad that we messed up his paint job, but we left right before the 11am checkout… probably not the best idea to paint anything at that time. With that being said… I’d stay here again. We loved how close we were to go to the Grand Canyon. We also saw a few elk when we were walking to breakfast, so that was cool!

If you’re heading to the Grand Canyon and want a place that actually feels like part of the experience instead of just a place to sleep, this is it.
From the moment we walked into The Squire, you could tell it’s not your typical hotel. It’s got that modern rustic vibe that fits the area perfectly, clean, comfortable, and just has a good atmosphere all around. The rooms were spacious, well-kept, and honestly some of the best we’ve stayed in on a trip like this.
What really sets this place apart is everything they have on-site. After a long day exploring the canyon, being able to come back and relax by the fire pits, hit the hot tub, or even mess around in the arcade and bowling alley was a huge bonus. It’s one of those places where you could easily spend a whole evening without leaving the property.
The location is about as convenient as it gets, just a quick drive to the Grand Canyon entrance, which makes early mornings and sunsets super easy without dealing with a long commute.
Staff was friendly and helpful, and everything just ran smooth the whole stay. No headaches, no issues, just a solid experience from start to finish.

The resort is very nice, has a definite upscale feel to it, many notches up from a typical Holiday Inn. We loved the free coffee and filtered water station in the lobby as well. Our Queen suite room was great, bathroom was large and walk in shower gave it a spa-like feel. We were in building 7000, which seemed much newer/nicer than building 2000 which we went into by accident when we first got there (although we didn't see the rooms in that building). Also loved guest services checking in on us via text and had new hand soap delivered to the room within minutes of texting that we were out. (thanks Guillermo!). Kids really liked the oversized chess set and connect four game near the outdoor pool area. Proximity to GCNP is excellent. Although I'm still giving the hotel five stars, the restaurant experience was below par. They were very understaffed on 3/15/26, and we had to wait 45 mins for a table, then another 45 mins for our food. Not the server's fault, they just need more staff. The food was just ok, and for a family of four with one beer, burgers/fries for each of us (no apps), it was $120 with tip. Seemed a little high, but everything is near the park. One of the local steak restaurants was offering ribeye for $72 (holy literal cow) so our meal price was acceptable lol. Overall the hotel is fantastic, highly recommend.
