Clean and decent size. It seems like a good location but I'm not terribly familiar with the area. Looks like an older place that got a fresh coat of paint relatively recently, but it doesn't seem like a ton of other stuff has been updated.
Very clean. Next to Reid Park/Zoo. Basic continental breakfast. ( only hotel I've seen with a yogurt dispenser). Italian Restaurant across the street is worth the short walk.

Old hotel with minimal touch-ups and new-looking photos.
I encountered extremely long wait times for hot water (even then it was lukewarm), on one occasion brownish water came out of the faucet when switched to hot.
No room cleaning for 2 days straight after check-in (although they claim rooms are cleaned every other day).
Breakfast is basically nonexistent.
Parking lot doesn't fit all guests' vehicles on busy days, had to park at a business next door.
Very strange bedsheets where the blanket is split in three layers and never stays in one piece.
AC in the rooms is of an old model, under-window unit, pretty loud an only has ON/OFF operation, potentially waking you up at night.
With all that, it's half decent, not an 'avoid at all cost' kind of place.

Staff was very helpful at front desk,
I Booked this property for 2 reasons. The first being that it was close to where I needed to be and the second was that it was a newer property by Hilton. To much disappointment we realized that this was not a new hotel but an old hotel with a sub par face lift. The heavy presence of fresh paint in the hallways was challenging to smell. When we entered our room the overwhelming odor of paint caused us to request a room change. The new room on a lower floor smelled less of paint, the fridge was old and stained, no coffee maker, no welcome water and no ice bucket. The breakfast offered was simply bagels which seemed old, plain yogurt and granola , no warm breakfast food or continental style that Hilton typically offers. This hotel should not be marketed as by Hilton.
Liked it when we arrived, but had a very mediocre stay. Continental breakfast was edible (toast, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs), but definitely underwhelming. That’s fine though.
I’m just beyond annoyed that the hot tub was defunct on our visit. I need hotels to stop advertising pools and hot tubs that you can’t friggin use.
Outlets in room didn’t work, mini fridge was disgusting when we arrived. Room was comically large compared to the tiny bathroom. Maid service is “every other day” which I’m sure is mentioned somewhere online, but I’ve never seen that before so didn’t know to look for it. We were there for two days, essentially meaning no maid service.
Lastly, why do the complimentary toiletries not work. We had no body wash. Given there are tons of places to stay, I wouldn’t choose here again. The hot tub is something I take personally. Feels swindly.
