Great service, nice and clean. The only problem is the lighting is too low. Also, the air force base is close and the jets fly over, and it's extremely loud.
We were given a room in the old two-story part of the hotel. When we enter the room, it smelled bad. The bathroom has no vent fan so it gets smelly fast and then permeates to the room. Bathroom window also has no screen. Faucet in bathroom had green lime buildup on aerator and Sprays everywhere when you turn it on. this part of the hotel looks and feels like it’s 70 to 80 years old, so we definitely should NOT have been charged the same high price $140 that they charge in the newer, high-rise part. Probably a cheap $50 eighty year old hotel would’ve been about the same experience. Also bizarrely the hotel has no water dispensers or water fountains, so you had better bring water with you.

I enjoyed a very nice work related stay at this hotel. Beginning with a very friendly hotel clerk, Royce, who went out of his way to make my stay a most pleasant experience. My room was very clean, spacious, and quiet, just how I like it. Every single one of the hotel personnel I came in contact with, greeted me with a smile, and were very pleasant and helpful. My breakfast in the Cactus Rose restaurant which consisted of an omelette made with Monterey jack cheese, spinach, and mushrooms, was absolutely delicious! Note: The grilled tomatoes, pictured with the omelette, were requested in place of toast and breakfast potatoes. The Cobb Salad eaten for lunch, at the adjoining Javelina restaurant, was also outstanding, as was the awesome service delivered by David. I would most definitely stay again at this hotel if vs when my work and/or personal vacation should bring me to the Tucson area again.
We stayed here for one night and the room was clean, the gym was clean and the food at javalina was delicious. The entire environment is clean and the workers are well organized. They also upgraded our room to the tower. Thank you Doubletree by hilton tucson.

It's not actually a hotel. Lowest quality DoubleTree or Hilton in general I've stayed at. Part of the property is an actual hotel, but we were placed in the Super-8 motel side, which left some things to be desired. By far the most volatile shower temps I've ever experienced. Like not safe for children swings, and that is NOT an exaggeration. There are no vents in the bathrooms. Hotels have vents in their bathrooms, motels may or may not. However, there is a sliding window in the bathroom, in case you want the parking lot to listen to your shower. The A/C may or may not be connected to the thermostat in the room. The temp never changed. It wasn't a bad temp, just a little cool during the day and a little warm at night. Not what I expect from a Hilton. Beds were nice and room was clean, with standard Hilton facade. The room service was by far the best part of this property. The folks over at the Javelina are crushing it.
Finally check-in. I tell them my name, and dude looks at me like he's never heard the common noun that is my name. I ask if it's under my mother's name, still never heard of us. I have to make a phone call, and it turns out the reservation was made far my nickname, but same last name. The responses from dude were not, "could it be under another name?" The responses amounted to, "nope, never heard of a name like that." Not to mention, the place was empty. If you can't find the reservation, let's just book another one. Come to find out, had I done just that, it would have cost $200 less, because the walk-in rate at this empty hotel was significantly lower than my reserved room rate. A little help would have gone a long way at check-in, and dude was less than helpful. IDK, maybe DoubleTree is going downhill. I never have any trouble staying at Hamptons, so I was surprised it was such a different experience.
We won't be back.
