Amazing views from every room. Our room was close to the lobby so unfortunately it was loud on our balcony because the air conditioners on top of the lobby run constantly, so try to get a room further away if quiet us important to you. We hiked out the back of the resort on Boynton Canyon Trail numerous times. It’s a gorgeous, easy hike. Get out there at sunrise if you want the trail to yourself. Where you get on the trail you’re only about a mile from Subway Cave, so check it out if you have time! You’ll have to research how to get there yourself because the front desk isn’t allowed to give out information on how to get there. The resort is a solid 15 minute drive to Sedona and the roads are dark and curvy at night (for us it was worth it for the trail access and quiet/dark, but for others it might not be). There is no cell service (only the hotel wi-fi). This was great for us but might not work well for everyone.

We had high expectations given the price point, but unfortunately our stay fell short in several key areas. The room itself felt quite small, and the setup wasn’t practical. When we ordered room service, the table barely fit two plates. For a resort at this level, it’s surprising that basic comfort—like a properly sized dining table for two—was overlooked. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Over the course of two days, the toilet was not cleaned, and the table still had visible egg stains. These are fundamental details that should not be missed, especially at this price level. The most upsetting experience happened at the pool. Around 2 PM—when the sun is at its strongest—staff abruptly went around closing umbrellas while guests were still using them. There were even babies sleeping under them. The approach felt inconsiderate. We were told this was due to wind concerns, but the wind was minimal. At roughly $1,600 per night for a standard room, it’s reasonable to expect equipment that can withstand typical conditions. We have stayed at many resorts, including oceanfront properties with much stronger winds, and have never experienced anything like this. That said, I do want to acknowledge that many members of the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. Luis, the manager, was particularly helpful and quick to resolve our room concern, and Oscar, our morning waiter, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, while the setting is beautiful and some staff members were excellent, the experience did not match the level of service or comfort expected at this price point.

We stayed at Enchantment Resort for two nights. As many reviews mention, the location is absolutely beautiful — the canyon setting is truly magical, and the views are stunning from almost everywhere on the property. Just being there and walking around Boynton Canyon is already an experience in itself. However, the overall service and attention to detail did not meet expectations. Restaurant service was consistently slow, and the food was quite average. Only breakfast was fine . The biggest issue is the lack of attention to details. For example, one of the curtain rods in our room was broken, and even though housekeeping came twice, it was never fixed. Small things like missing simple cardboard coffee cups in the room also make a difference — these details may seem minor, but they impact the overall experience. Overall, the location is the main highlight, but the service and execution feel below what you would expect from a resort at this level.

I had really mixed feelings about my stay at Enchantment Resort in Sedona. On the positive side, the views are absolutely stunning and the spa is incredible — I genuinely enjoyed every service I booked. However, the rooms are in serious need of upgrading, especially considering the price you’re paying. It feels like the last renovation they did was in the 70s. For a resort that markets itself as luxury, it just doesn’t match the cost. The biggest disappointment was the food and service. If you plan to eat on the property, be prepared for very slow and inattentive service. One night at dinner, it took 45 minutes just to get our drinks — and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. We felt completely overlooked. On our last morning, we gave breakfast another shot before heading to the airport, and once again waited nearly an hour for our food. I finally had to get up and ask someone to check on it, and magically it came out a minute later… cold. Also worth noting — the WiFi is basically nonexistent, which is a big issue when you’re out in the desert and relying on the property for connectivity. For a resort at this price point, that’s a major miss. Honestly, whoever runs their Instagram deserves a raise because it makes the place look like a 5-star resort. In reality, the only 5-star aspects are the views and the pool. For the price, the service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning — I’d recommend taking your money elsewhere.

4 Star resort at 5 Star prices. Overall, this hotel is a great place to bring families in a stunning location wedged between 2 canyons. Unfortunately, the prices were not justified. Pros Property - The location is amazing. Truly the most majestic place nestled in the Boynton Canyon. Food - Food was fantastic. Every dinner I had was delicious. The service for dinner at Hummingbird and Che Ah Chi was also top notch. Thomas was amazing! Room - Rooms are spacious. I had a fireplace, dining room, living room, kitchenette and patio. Overall, the room was a very peaceful retreat Massage - I had one of the most amazing massages in my life from Maya. She was incredible. I highly recommend the ancestral stone massage. She also included a lymphatic drainage massage as well, which I've never had but absolutely loved. Trail House - The folks at Trail House were so helpful in deciding the right hiking trail to meet my needs. Cons Service - There were some key things missing from the service aspect. When I got there, I tried to valet my car, and the valet guided me to self-park. It was very confusing and odd. The key maker machine was down, so I had to stay in my room for a few hours after they let me in with a master key. Things happen, so I understand but not an ideal welcome. Price - I stay at a lot of nice resorts and the cost of everything from food to the spa to activities was sometimes 50-100% higher than what I would typically pay. Spa - I expected a lot out of the spa facilities and unfortunately it was very disappointing. There were only 1 dry and 1 wet sauna that each fit 2-3 people and a tiny hot tub. The waiting area was not relaxing at all and a very tight squeeze. They did not have any views of the mountains or anything special in the spa. I would have expected a hydrotherapy circuit or some lounge chairs while waiting. Also, no view of the stunning canyon either. Other - Note that this is very much a family resort. Do not come here if you a want a peaceful quiet getaway without kids. I made that mistake, but that's definitely on me. Unfortunately, it was a lovely property, but I did not feel like the value was there. The cost was simply more than the benefit.
