Four reasons prices with best western service. This hotel is surviving exclusively on the views, which are admittedly phenomenal. But every other aspect was a total disappointment. Hotel has declined over the last few years. Food is way overpriced and mid, room cleaning service never showed up 1 out of 3 days, rooms are super outdated, dinner menu is limited and restaurant lacks any vibe. For over $800 a night, expected way more.

We stayed here for 10+ nights with our 4 year old and it was incredible. We actually broke up our trip between this hotel and another 5-star resort a few miles down the road to experience both and ended up cancelling the other one to come back here because it didn’t compare. Enchantment resort is truly a luxurious 5-star resort with a warm staff that feels like a family and the grounds are impeccably maintained. It’s astonishing considering how long they’ve been operating. Zero wear and tear all around and a very well oiled machine across every sector: rooms, design, service staff, restaurants, spa, bellman and all of the well coordinated and sophisticated events and activities. We ate at the 3 restaurants the whole time and enjoyed it, never tiring of the menu. Perfect pool temperature. One of the best spas we’ve ever experienced. And the pottery class led by Leslie was the cherry on top. Even more surprising, was that the kids camp (which we normally avoid), was so fun and well developed our kid wanted to go back every day and it’s right by the pool so we can peek in whenever while we relax. Of course, you come here for the Red Rocks. Never seen a truly state of the art luxury accommodations enveloped in nature like this. We considered the renowned Amangiri a few hours away but have no regrets we chose to stay and relax deeply here the whole time. Rooms are perfect for what it should be at a place like this. Design overall is 10/10 too, something we appreciate as architects/interior designers. We hope to come back in a decade when our kid is older to relive all of our memories there. We give service 3 stars ONLY because the inexperienced front desk gal who checked us in (the second time when we came back) had us wait an hour while giving us attitude because she thought we were lying about our booking?! Apparently she did not have the most updated check-in sheet on her end and refused to accommodate us. Ridiculous since we booked through their own website and resort agent. When it finally came through, zero apologies. The manager stepped in to get us checked in which was also a bit of an overall unpleasant and terse experience.

Pre-arrival experience was already terrible. I went there hoping to speak to the front desk about booking a room and making a spa reservation, but I was stopped at the entrance by the security/door staff. He spoke to me in a very rude and condescending way, and when I told him I didn’t have an existing reservation yet, his tone became even more sarcastic. He repeatedly emphasized that this is a “luxury private hotel” and that people without a reservation are not allowed to enter. At the same time, other cars and guests around me were allowed to go through without being questioned at all. The clear difference in how I was treated made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I have good reason to believe I was being discriminated against, possibly because of my race or appearance. For a place that calls itself a luxury hotel, the attitude and behavior of the staff at the gate are completely unacceptable. This experience alone was enough for me to decide I do not want to stay here or spend any money at this property.

I’m so happy we chose to honeymoon here! We wanted a luxurious yet adventurous honeymoon, and Enchantment was perfect. We had an absolutely incredible experience starting from the first interaction, where we were warmly greeted by name by the valet and offered homemade prickly pear lemonade. The resort itself is stunning and is built harmoniously into the canyon- it’s so peaceful and serene. It’s also absolutely spotless and perfectly manicured. The casitas were beautifully decorated and also spotless. Housekeeping left such nice little touches, it was always a treat to return to our room. Every staff member we interacted with was nothing short of kind and welcoming. The on-aite dining and availability of activities exceeded our expectations. We did a mountain biking tour organized by the Trailhouse, which was the highlight of our trip! The availability of hiking trails was also a huge plus- we hiked a different trail every day and could have done more! All in all, I’d highly recommend Enchantment and we had the trip of a lifetime.

Ideally I'd have given 3.5 stars if it were possible. Four is a bit too high and I feel that 3 more closely captures the essence of our stay all things considered. Me and my wife stayed a total of two nights and overall enjoyed our stay. That is mostly because the resort grounds are nestled within the beautiful red rock formations. The resort itself is quaint enough with winding hills and sprawling lush and manicured vegetation and grassy areas. The issues we encountered and that no Forbes renowned or any other resort priced at this point should ever find acceptable are the following: The room: The room was outdated and worn out. At least our room was. For $800+ per night I should expect my room to be pristine and not give off a tired, used vibe. Ours did, unfortunately. The window outside had a moldy and also mossy growth and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages too. Speaking of the room, while it's true that we were in nature with plenty of activities to entertain us all day long, it's unacceptable for a stay of this caliber not to have smart tv/screens. We are in 2025 and your basal night stay is exorbitant. A tv update is in order. Me and my wife wanted to unwind by watching a movie but their screen aren't smart and local channel and or cable doesn't cut it anymore. The spa: Me and the wife had a couple of massages and enjoyed them. The problems we found was in the amenities or in this case, lack thereof. Mii amo is gorgeous, to be sure. A truly beautiful and boutique place. Here were the problems. For the men, the hot tub didn't work, the staff seemed to be aware of this but did nothing to address the issue and when I mentioned it, one of the attendants' reply was "it's not gonna get fixed any time soon." The dry sauna's door wasnt fully sealed, it has gaps around it (this seems like a design flaw) as a result, even though the sauna is super hot, all of the heat escapes the box and 25 minutes later, not a single drop of sweat could be found on my person. The lounging area inside the locker rooms aren't truly welcoming or inviting. The outside lounging spaces are much more the vibe. For my wife, the hot tub was dirty, truly. Unacceptable for this level of experience. All the other things that applied to the man section also applied here. Overall, it was a somewhat subpar experience. The food: We had a few meals in different restaurants and while we enjoyed the experience, we weren't truly blown away by it. Again, average and or subpar for an experience of this caliber. There was also something that bothered us more than anything else. And that is the juice bar at Mii amo. They serve juices in a small glass. And I mean 2 to 3 sips small and they charge you $12 for it. But that's not even the problem. I am fine paying for it because of where we were. The problem is the amount of juice leftover the person making it waste every time. There is twice the amount in the plastic container they use to collect the leftover juice that we witnessed the persob pouring down the drain. That's unacceptable for so many reasons. We told our server for breakfast the next morning and asked him to give us the whole juice produced and guess what? We received a glass twice the size plus another glass full the size of the regular $12 one. This is unacceptable and I hope steps are taken to rectify this. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I have nothing truly negative to say about any of them. Overall, this was a fine stay. But for the price range, we stayed at better resorts. I hope they update the rooms. The screens and the spas.
