I am updating my original review following our second stay at this property.
We first visited in April 2021, and that experience was truly fantastic. We left looking forward to returning, which we did in February 2026. Unfortunately, this visit did not fully live up to our first experience. There were several service-related issues — about five in total — that fell short of what I would expect from a resort of this caliber. I outlined those concerns in my initial review.
Shortly after posting, I was contacted by resort management and asked if I would be willing to speak with them directly. I appreciated the outreach and welcomed the opportunity, as their message seemed sincere and genuinely focused on understanding how they could improve.
I had that conversation this morning and am very grateful for the time they took to listen thoughtfully to my concerns. No organization or person is perfect, and occasional missteps happen. What matters most is how those situations are handled. I left the call convinced that management sincerely wanted constructive feedback and is committed to making improvements moving forward.
I commend them for acknowledging the concerns, taking ownership, and demonstrating a willingness to improve. That level of responsiveness speaks volumes.

Enchantment is our favorite place in the world! It’s always a relaxing weekend with amazing service from every person we interact with! You must eat at Chi Ah Chi, everything on the menu is spectacular, as well as all the staff.
Special shoutout to our Chi Ah Chi server, Tom, who has served us two years in a row! Great personality and always giving us the best recommendations from the menu. Additional shoutouts to Jason and Alexander, the lovely gentleman driving carts, and then to Dana and Mark, who treated us like royalty in the Mi amo Spa. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing and cozy getaway.

We were here a couple years ago for lunch after hiking. The experience was great (then) so we looked forward to returning and staying.
But, here’s the deal:
Way overpriced. Way overrated. And WAY past prime time.
Hottub not working. Front desk told us they had a hottub at check in, so we were so looking forward to a soak after 10mi hike…but, no…
We waited nearly 30 mins for dinner past reservation time. No apologies.
In room coffee maker broken. Had to buy $6 drip coffees.
No service for room. Finally had to call house keeping.
Very disappointed. Save your money and try elsewhere.
Holiday Inn energy. I genuinely don’t understand how this place calls itself a luxury resort.
I traveled all day to get here, arrived with a pounding headache, and went straight to the gift shop hoping to buy Tylenol like a normal human being. Instead, some staff guy hovered around impatiently, interrupted me, and basically rushed me out to usher me to my room because he didn’t want to wait while I looked. So I guess the “enchantment” is going to bed miserable with a migraine because the resort can’t handle someone shopping for five minutes and they needed to get me in the golf cart to show me the delights of this mediocre room.
The rooms are embarrassing. Outdated, generic, and absolutely not worth the price. I’ve stayed in roadside hotels with more updated interiors. If this is luxury, the bar is in hell.
Food is massively overpriced and the restaurant has zero atmosphere. I paid my bill and left, only to have a waiter chase me down accusing me of not paying…then realize I did and awkwardly disappear. No real apology, just chaos.
The spa was the biggest joke. I booked a ridiculously expensive massage, tried making polite conversation, asked the masseuse where she was from, and she snapped: “Why?”
Excuse me? For what they charge, basic professionalism should not be optional. Also spa experience was subpar at best.
And for a resort this huge, the hot tubs immediately become crowded and unpleasant.
This place survives entirely on Sedona being beautiful. The resort itself is dated, overpriced, and weirdly hostile for something selling “serenity.” Save your money.
I’d give it 10/5 stars if I could! Unbridled location and designed within an inch of its life! Every single item displayed has been carefully considered & custom-crafted to respect the surroundings & please the eye. Quiet luxury. Soft-spoken, helpful staff. Unmatched tour guides whose qualifications meet their passions. Reminds me of a bygone era that I feel blessed to have experienced in my lifetime.
Also, my friend & I booked 2 hikes through the Enchantment Resort concierge ~ a Vortex Hike with guide Robin Weeks & the Archaeological Dwellings Hike with Roy Julian. Truth be told, we didn’t realize these were private hikes at $305/per person plus tax + gratuity, however, after our 1st incomparably valuable hike with Robin, we decided to move forward with the archeological hike with Roy and cancel our Pink Jeep Tour (which my friend did once already) and boy are we glad we did!
I CANNOT emphasize enough the degree of passion & knowledge these 2 men displayed and provided from the moment we got into the vehicles. Seriously, save for a few extraordinary details like the arresting beauty of the canyons & resort, the galaxy & Enchantment team members who are also stars, and some personal experiences, these 2 tours made our entire trip. Why?
They both customized our experience based upon a few targeted questions and were encouraged by our engagement & enthusiasm to expound upon their knowledge to the degree of our attention spans. Robin is a scholar & scientist turned spiritualist so he has a unique dual perspective on nature, not to mention a seasoned relationship with the trails & outdoors in general and Roy is a retired Psychologist & rescue team member (for people lost & stuck in the canyons), and an ancient artifacts artist. Roy BLEW OUR HEADS OFF with his recreations of ancient indigenous tribal goods (i.e. arrowheads, baskets, clothing, & food), which he re-creates in the exact same way using the same materials & methods of 1000 years ago (think whittling a weapon using a rock or weaving on a loom HE MADE in the way they would’ve back then). I mean….this man is GENIUS!!! He provided an answer to every question we asked and then some.
Both of these guides’ backgrounds are as illustrious as the subject matter they are discussing, which makes them uniquely qualified for this role. If you love storytelling, history, philosophy and one-of-a-kind experiences, then you should splurge on the private tours with these 2 experts!
