- ECerick cheekFeb 14, 20263.0The good: this hotel is conveniently located and there is a beautiful view from the king suites. There is a fountain at the entrance and the property has a relaxing setting. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bad: The fireplace and one of the side jets in the shower did not work. A contractor switched locks on the doors and left for the day without cleaning up piles of chipped paint and old bolts in the rooms and left the room doors wide open. The next morning when checking out we asked to speak to the manager about it. She led off with complaining she had been in a meeting and acted thoroughly annoyed through the entire exchange. I am a project engineer and manage contractors for a living. I completely empathize with having to be the one to make things right because a contractor makes a big mistake. I also understand that is part of what I am being paid for. She did give a slight discount over the incident but her body language and tone made clear she was sorry she had to deal with us and not for the issue. The takeaway: Some of the features are a bit worn and dated but this is a comfortable hotel in a nice location with great views. Unfortunately in the event you have an issue the attitude you will get from management is to go pound sand.
